Nutritional Nurse Advisor...

Our client specialises in the delivery of advanced medical nutrition for patients requiring disease and malnutrition management. They pride themselves in their constant innovation through products and services, a flexible approach in the way they work in partnership with their customers and the care they provide their often vulnerable patient groups.
This is a field Based role to cover the Central London/Croydon area

Working as a Nutritional Nurse supporting home enterally fed patients via home visits and telephone support. Looking after one or more hospitals that work in a group or a large PCT.

A patient facing role you will be required to understand the commercial aspects of the role. Each account has a Nursing Service Level Agreement which underpins the clients’ commercial contact. You will work alongside the Clinical Nurse Manager and attend contract and Service Level Agreement review meetings and present back on the achievement of your activities.

•Develop / improve discharge planning process for all patients who are home enterally fed, ensuring high standards of care are achieved for patients receiving the Homeward service.
•Support ward staff on training patients and their families who require enteral feeding.
oVisit all families referred for enteral feeding to review training with ward staff.
oReview patient discharges to ensure patients are sent home with appropriate support /information.
oSet up education/training for ward staff re home delivery service/Nutritional Care.
oAttend daily meetings with Dietetics /Nutritional Care as requested.

Minimum Requirements
• NMC Registered role
• Minimum 2 years post registration nursing experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Competent /confident IT skills - Word, Excel, Power Point and e-mail
• Ability to stay away from home as required.
• Excellent time management skills and planning is essential
• Strong communication skills - for patient and carer training and presentations to the account (Dieticians and Hospital and Community based nurses)

Preferable Requirements
• Experience in oral supplement /Enteral feed therapy area
• ENB 998 or equivalent.
• Experience of working independently
• Experience of working in a commercial/customer service organization

Job Description

As an effective communicator you will be providing inspirational leadership and management support to team of Ward Managers. Working at the interface between
professional practice and operational delivery, you will work closely with patients senior nurses and other members of the healthcare and management team to facilitate innovative care that promotes independence, dignity and choice in accordance with organisational and National Standards.
To provide clinical direction and leadership for the nursing team ensuring compliance with appropriate nursing, regulatory, governance and best practice frameworks whilst co-ordinating and maintaining the delivery of 24 hour safe clinical quality and care standards in a cost effective environment.
