Consultancy summary:

The consultant will fulfill assignments that support RA’s work in the palm oil sector in the Country. Duties include: coordinating the implementation of project activities under the guidance of the Senior Manager; supporting the development of new program activities, writing and compiling reports on project activities, meetings, and related events; conducting research, conveying this and building a library of relevant literature; conducting interviews and building relationships with NGO, producer/trader/manufacturing and governmental stakeholders in the Palm Oil community of interest; researching existing documentation on palm in Indonesia, the representation of Rainforest Alliance at select events, and other duties as assigned.

Project Summary:

Rainforest Alliance is an international non-profit organization that works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior.

For Indonesia we are looking for a consultant (individual consultant, or individual employed by a consultancy organization) to support several projects focused on enhancing sustainability in oil palm plantations.

Activities, duties and responsibilities

· Whenever applicable coordinate (on behalf of the RA senior project manager) the planning and implementation of project activities;

· Implement specific project activities, in accordance with the agreed workplans;

· Compile project reports;

· Conduct stakeholder interviews;

· Build relationships with NGO, producer/trader/manufacturing and governmental stakeholders in the Palm Oil community of interest;

· Conduct and convey research on relevant topics;

· Create virtual library with relevant documentation;

· Support Rainforest Alliance’s Palm Oil strategy;

· Collect information about production, the industry, trends and markets as needed;

· Support the dialogue with relevant stakeholders to promote the principles of the Sustainable Agriculture Network Standard;

· Attend events and meetings as needed;

· Support the development of new projects to grow RA’s work in the country.

Deliverables:

• Updated work-plans for the projects;

• Progress reports of implementation activities and meetings to the RA line-manager and in line with donor requirements;

• Draft project reports;

• Virtual library with relevant literature on the palm sector;

• Reports on visits, meetings and events.

Qualifications:

• University degree in tropical agriculture, biology, forestry or related disciplines;

• Knowledge of technical, economic and social aspects in sustainable agriculture;

• Excellent inside knowledge of local oil palm sector;

• Knowledge of value chains of other commodities is an advantage;

• Excellent facilitation and organisation skills;

• Good proficiency of English in writing and speech is essential;

• Knowledge of integrated pest management is a plus;

• Experience with SAN and RA is an asset.

Overview

CIFOR is the lead center for the CGIAR Research Program on Forests, Trees and Agroforestry (CRP-FTA). Working with CIFOR’s worldwide partners, the CRP-FTA Communications Consultant will help build and coordinate an international communications platform for the program.

The CRP-FTA program generates a large volume of online content and products, from cutting-edge videos and innovative research papers, to blog stories from world-renowned experts and presentations at key events. These are featured on the flagship website ForestsTreesAgroforestry.org, on the FTA partner center websites, and disseminated through various online channels, social media and conferences.

Working closely with members of the FTA partner centers, including technical, scientific and outreach staff, the Consultant will fill an important liaison role between focal points. In addition, the FTA management support unit is based at CIFOR, giving direct access to the FTA Director for support and information sharing.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, innovative program, helping translate FTA’s high-caliber research into meaningful, real-world impact.

Summary of responsibilities

Build and maintain internal communications channels between center focal points, including scheduling and coordinating regular communications meetings, sharing center information and communicating FTA decisionsChampion collaborative communications tools for use by center scientists and support staffMonitor FTA’s presence and identity online: communicate with partners and stakeholders to increase and improve branding, links, messagingCreate 25% original content in the form of blog posts, event details, and news announcements to post on ForestsTreesAgroforestry.org, curate 75% from center sites, and ensure static site content is kept up to dateWork with partner centers to build and maintain FTA pages on their center websitesCompile and coordinate release of the FTA newsletterBuild and maintain a healthy mailing list of FTA stakeholdersExplore, develop and maintain appropriate social media channels for FTA, in particular LinkedIn and TwitterProduce a set of branding guidelines and a document template package for standardizing communications products across FTA, and coordinate key marketing materials for all centersWorking with center focal points, help plan and build online marketing packages for key FTA outputs, with overall branding and messaging in mindMonitor benchmarks and targets for main platforms and outputs: flagship sites, social media, email blasts, etc., and help develop regular reporting mechanisms for outcomes and impact

Project Summary:
The Strengthening Integrity and Accountability Program 1 (SIAP 1) contributes to good governance in Indonesia by strengthening integrity and accountability in government principally at the national level. It will do this by supporting governmental and non-governmental efforts to strengthen integrity and accountability.
Position Summary:
The Consultant will coordinate and manage all technical aspects of a criminal justice system comparative study visit to the Netherlands and France by a delegation from the Government of Indonesia. The Consultant must compile information packets containing relevant information on the Criminal Justice Systems in both the Netherlands and France. A maximum of 20 days is authorized for this consultancy.
Responsibilities:

Develop the agenda of activities for the study visit to both the Netherlands and France.Serve as main point of contact with representatives from various universities and law enforcement practitioners, and arrange meetings with the relevant persons in both the Netherlands and France.Prepare information packets for the study visits to both the Netherlands and France.Arrange for the delegation to observe activities of the Criminal Justice Systems in both the Netherlands and France.Support the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) to compile material for training and/or sharing that is relevant with the objective of the study.Ensure the availability of source/trainer and material from universities in the Netherlands and France.Accompany KPK’s team in all study activities in the Netherlands and France and ensure mentoring from experts on Dutch law (if needed) during comparative study in the Netherlands and France.Support KPK in compiling a program report that includes: all compiled information material; presentation material; case study material; recommendations on how to implement findings; and other items to be discussed.

Qualifications:

Must be an expert in Indonesian law or have expertise in law, especially criminal law.Must have 10 years of experience in academia, research, lecturing or as law enforcement practitioner working on legal issues, especially criminal law.Able to organize events such as trainings, focus group discussions, workshops, etc.Have a good network with universities and law enforcement communities in Netherlands and/or France.Knowledge of the various efforts used to eradicate corruption in Indonesia, preferably an expert who was previously involved anti-corruption activities.Must be available and willing to travel to the Netherlands and France.Must be able to speak English.Must be able to speak and write in Bahasa Indonesia.

Its core mission is to provide care and support for children who are at risk of or have lost parental care. Presently we work in five project locations of Mogadishu and Baidoa (South and Central Somalia), Berbera, Hargeisa, and Sheikh (Somaliland) in the areas of child care, education, health and emergency programming. Under its flagship health program, SOS runs a Mother and Child Referral Hospital in Mogadishu that see over 200,000 patients annually across primary health care and comprehensive in-patient and also runs a nursing school that acts a research and a practicum site for local medical teaching universities.SOS Somalia/Somaliland intends to raise its visibility both locally and internationally, as it looks build strong partnerships with other INGOs, government, local communities and donors. In light of this, we are looking for a communications consultant.The objective of the assignment is to document case studies and capture viable photos of the programs of SOS. The intent is to get write-ups and visual material that will raise the public profile and visibility of SOS Children’s Villages Somalia/Somaliland and in addition to contributing to its fundraising efforts.The consultant will be expected to travel to the two regions where SOS runs its program in Somalia and Somaliland. The scope comprises the following and the consultant will be expected to deliver the following items during and at the end of the assignment, which should be ready for printing:Task Deliverable 1 à Document SOS’s organizational profile and fact sheets outlining all the projects and programs on properly designed brochures 2 write-ups detailing overall organizational profile for Somalia and Somaliland5 specific write-ups detailing profiles/fact sheet (with statistics) on health, education, emergency and care programs 2 àDocument program success stories. The Role

As a Showroom Consultant you will play a crucial part in creating a unique experience for our customers, by providing full guidance on Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom and Furniture design from beginning to end. You will maximise sales opportunities by providing a comprehensive design, planning and sales service to customers working to KPI’s in which a commission structure operates. You will support the customer’s design specification, making suggestions as appropriate either in store or from home visits in order to drive installation sales and help achieve installation targets.

The Person

To succeed in this role you will have a minimum of 1 years experience in a sales led environment. You will be a highly self motivated sales professional who possess’ a proven track record in a retail environment. You’ll be an excellent communicator with passion, enthusiasm and expertise in delivering customer satisfaction. You will need to be sales driven combined with a healthy attitude towards competition and a keen eye for detail and spotting potential sales opportunities. Knowledge of CAD packages is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
