UCP Wheels for Humanity (UCP Wheels) increases access to mobility and improves the quality of life for children and adults with physical disabilities in developing countries. Based on the needs of each region in which we work, we offer one or more of our direct-service or capacity-building programs. These include the provision of appropriately fitted wheelchairs and empowerment programs, as well as advocacy and training initiatives that create sustainable, community-based systems to support long-term change.

UCP Wheels began working in Indonesia in 2009 and initiated a local organization UCP Roda Untuk Kemanusiaan (RUK) which now acts as UCP Wheels’ main implementing partner. RUK focuses largely on the provision of wheelchairs through the development of local resources including; local manufacturing, trained clinical professionals, awareness of community and government, empowered individuals with disabilities and inclusion of services within existing healthcare structures. Position Summary

UCP Wheels for Humanity seeks an experienced and motivated Country Representative to be based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The Country Representative will report directly to the US Headquarters office and support the strategic planning, program development, fiscal oversight, general operations and local efforts to secure new project funding.

The Country Representative will hold a unique position supporting the locally established organization UCP Roda Untuk Kemanusiaan (RUK) to continue to build towards a sustainable program delivery while ensuring that UCP Wheels for Humanity’s core mission and values are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provides guidance and support to the RUK’s Director and management team to ensure effective implementation of programs that uphold the core values and mission of UCP Wheels for Humanity

· Supervise the development and implementation of program planning, implementation, resource allocation, monitoring, and evaluation activities

· Works with program and administrative staff to streamline operations improving program and administrative efficiencies

· Lead efforts to develop and secure new project funding through relationship development, proposal writing, corporate partnerships and prospective private sector and international donors;

· Develop relationships with local NGO’s and private sector partners and identify areas of potential collaboration and opportunities

· Liaises with US based headquarters office facilitating ongoing and effective communications between RUK and UCP Wheels;

· Act as UCP Wheels local representative to government partner Ministry of Social Welfare

· Attends government, donor and NGO coordination meetings as needed;

· Perform quality control on all communications and reporting

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in related field with 5+ years experience in overseas development;

· Demonstrated knowledge of international development programming, project development, grant administration and management procedures;

· Demonstrated success leading proposal writing efforts, including U.S. government or other major donor-funded programs;

· Previous experience living and working in Indonesia;

· Experience working collaboratively with government, international donors, and private sector partners

· Strong written and verbal communication skills;

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; and

· Fluency in English

Preferred Skills & Experience:

· Master’s degree in related field;

· 2+ years of previous experience working within the Public Health sector;

· Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia

Indonesia: Country Program Finance and Admin Manager - Indonesia

?The Australia–Asia Program to Combat Trafficking in Persons (AAPTIP) is a five-year (2013–2018) AU$50 million initiative of the Australian aid program that aims to reduce the incentives and opportunities for trafficking of persons in the Association of South East Asia Nations (ASEAN) region.

AAPTIP builds on Australia’s long-term support for programs to strengthen the criminal justice response to human trafficking in Asia. These programs include the Asia Regional Cooperation to Prevent People Trafficking (ARCPPT; 2003–2006), and the Asia Regional Trafficking in Persons (ARTIP; 2006–2013) project.

AAPTIP focuses on the prosecution pillar of anti-trafficking at the national and regional level. Support will be provided to the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC), and partner countriesCambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

AAPTIP will strengthen the criminal justice response to trafficking by: enhancing regional and national investigative and judicial cooperation on trafficking cases; strengthening legislative frameworks; providing adequate support for victim-witnesses; and expanding the evidence base for policy development and decision-making.

Summary of Role
The Country Program Finance and Administration Managers’ primary responsibility is to ensure that all required financial and administrative systems are in place, and effectively used, to ensure efficient and effective support is provided to Trafficking in Persons’ Working Groups (TWGs) and visiting AAPTIP advisers. This includes ensuring that all necessary financial and other administrative records are kept and reports provided in a timely manner.

?Specific Duties
The activities that the Country Program Finance and Admin Manager for Indonesia will undertake are:

Establish all required financial management, administrative and human resource management systems in the country office to support effective resource management, service delivery, accountability/audit and reporting requirements;Ensure all country office staff understand and comply with financial management and administrative system requirements, including through provision of appropriate training;Maintain and quality-assure all financial and administrative processes and records, including through regular financial and administrative audits;Provide all required financial and administrative data / reports to the Country Program Coordinator and the Regional Finance and Administration Manager as required;Ensure compliance with DFAT core policies, including but not limited to Disability and Child Protection Policy; andOther duties as directed by the Country Program Coordinator.

?Core Competence Required

Demonstrated experience in financial management, preparing budgets and expenditure reports;Demonstrated experience in human resource management, including recruitment, contracting and ongoing personnel performance management;Demonstrated ability to administer aid funded project finances; andGood interpersonal, team work and communication skills and able to maintain good relationships with colleagues and external counterparts and stakeholders.

Qualifications

A post-secondary or tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, such as financial management, accounting, or public administration is desirable.

?This position is a*locally engaged position**.* The salary package for this position is from AU$1,303 to AU$2,192. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s skills and experience and is inclusive of financial benefits/allowances such as medical insurance, 13th month salaries where applicable and other local labour law requirements.

Chemonics calling for Country Manager

Chemonics International, a Washington D.C.– based international development firm, seeks experienced Country Managers for the upcoming USAID-funded PFAN-Asia project. Based in Bangkok, the program goal is to increase investment in clean energy in Asia’s developing countries as a key part of comprehensive efforts to promote low carbon economic development. The program is looking for country managers in The Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia and India.

The program will increase investment in clean energy to ultimately help reduce GHG emissions and will focus on supporting the continuation and sustainability of the Public Financial Advisory Network (PFAN) initiated under the ECO-Asia CDCP program.

We are looking for experienced individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities:
Country managers are technical experts, natural leaders, strong mangers, skilled in the administration of large (preferably regional) projects, and have donor-compliance experience, USAID if possible. Country Managers shall be responsible for supporting and overseeing overall activities within a country and for facilitating activities in-country in coordination with the COP and other key personnel.
Qualifications:
·         Degree in environmental or climate change-related studies in public policy, economics, law, science, international cooperation/international development, or a related field preferred
·         Minimum 7 years of professional experience required; experience working on donor-funded projects preferred

·         Proven success working in complex environments involving the support and coordination of multiple organizations and multi-national/regional activities
·         Previous work in the clean energy sector strongly preferred

·         Familiarity with the political, social, and cultural context of working in Southeast Asia
·         Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and versatility
·         Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional written and oral language skills

·         Fluency in English required
