Head of Sales APAC
Head of Sales, Asia Pacific Region
This position is responsible for driving & managing sales in the region of Asia Pacific (Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, India, Philippines, etc.) for achieve sales and growth targets. Setting up and implementing sales strategy and coordinating closely with factories, regional and head offices, but also with service & sales partners in the region. Person has high sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills and autonomy with active hands on approach.
Main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
1.Sales:
a.Targets projects and customers for receiving bidding requests from the market
b.Analyzes received quotation requests and work with tendering teams for preparing most competitive offers
c.Does biddings, dig project information, prepare & negotiate contracts as per defined strategy
d.Cooperates with Factory Managers, Project Managers, Plant Directors, Legal dept for negotiating appropriate contracts
e.Cooperates with Finance Dept for setting up appropriate credit insurances and to detect associated risks
2.Marketing & Strategy:
a.In charge of setting up, executing and leading product & service sales strategy
b.Keeps existing customers but also diversifies company’s customer base to various new segments
c.Works closely and keeps relationship with various levels of direct/indirect/end customers
d.Manages external sales agents/partners and set up new ones
e.Provides coaching to internal and to external counterparts
f.Responsible of gathering and analyzing market intelligence information (segments, customers, competitors, products, etc)
g.Gives product/service/sales strategy recommendations to the management
h.Liaise with marketing to increase company’s and its products visibility on the market (including exhibitions)
i.Bring customers to factories and ensure good relationship / follow up through out projects
3.Reporting:
a.Accountable for formulating goals, KPIs, sales forecast, reports, budgets and for setting up a sales strategy to achieve these targets
b.Cooperates closely with sales/production/engineering teams in Asia and in Europe
c.Ensure correct usage of CRM and other sales/marketing reporting systems
d.Reports to Director of Asia Pacific and for projects manufactured in Europe, to International Sales Director
Qualifications:
1.Good understanding industrial electrical supply equipment market, ideally of low and medium voltages switchboards and of related service / package solutions
2.10+ years of sales management experience within the industry and a track record of established customer contact base in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Mining and ideally also in prime markets of Industry & Building & Infrastructure
3.Previous similar regional responsibility experience is a must
4.Ability to build relationships & sell at various (engineering, procurement, project management and C) levels at enterprise
5.Experience working within SME and a matrix organization
6.Exceptional communication & time management skills, complemented by strong analytical & organization skills & a systematic approach to problem-solving
7.Electrical engineering degree in bachelor and MBA is desirable
8.Frequent 50% regional travel is required for this role
9.Position located preferably in Jakarta/Indonesia but other location can be discussed as for instance Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia or other
10.Hardworking, persistent, dependable, positive and enthusiastic
11.Fluent English mandatory, other regional languages and French language are a plus
