Lifting and Rigging Engineer

The Company:
an Oil company is seeking a Lifting and Rigging Engineer

The Role:
The Lifting Coordinator and Lifting Coach shall assist Company in assuring that the lifting operations are conducted in a safe manner so as to avoid injuries to personnel and damage to company facilities, equipment and environment. Able to briefs, debriefs, coaching the crew members, presentation, compliance review of :
• Heavy, critical and specific lifting
• Pre-hire and Pre-lift audits
• Briefing and de-briefing critical and heavy lifting
• Lifting gears inspection and standards

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To meet minimum requirements of this position, the candidate shall possess at least a Bachelor Degree with 5 Years experiences or D3 degree with 10 years experiences hands and roles on Lifting, Practice and Crane integrity inspection in oil and gas project.
Candidate must also have complete training / capability of following :
• Holding Certificates of loose lifting inspection from reputable institution such as LEEA, OPITO, NSL, SPARROW, NATA and
• Holding valid certificate of NDT Level 2 UT, RT, MT/PT
• Preferable hold BP NSL Level-3 Certification Lifting Assessor
• Trainer Certification Crane / Hoist Inspector Certification Pad eye design, Centre of Gravity (COG) Calculation, Finite Element, Load Analysis and Structure Design.
• Must posses valid MIGAS Certificate/ Licence

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Candidate must have relevant working experience :
• Proven experience for lifting practice and crane and other lifting equipment integrity, able to deliver lifting objective, goal and zero tolerance of safety aspect to crew members, to challenge and precisely review the lifting submission (calculation, drawing and procedures) to comply lifting code and standard.
• Conversant and proven experience with complex and difficult rigging and lifting activities to comply with international industrial standards
• Familiar with all requirements of local legislation and applicable code and standard for lifting, such as BS EN 12079, DNV 2.7-1, etc
• Candidate must have good understanding in related lifting codes/ standard MIGAS, ASME, API, ANSI, ISO, BS, DNV, LEEA Code Practice, LOLER 1998
