Indonesia: International Grants Manager

****Organisation Description****

HKL is an Australian owned organisation with a 27 year history. We provide project management services across procurement and logistics, capacity building, disaster humanitarian response and supply chain management services within the Asia and Pacific regions, working with the Australian Government, Non government organisations, international agencies and commercial contractors.

With an established office in Jakarta, employing a number of expat and local staff, HKL have held a strong presence in Indonesia since 2005 and are currently servicing a number of Australian Government contracts in the area.

We are seeking to identify an experienced International Grants Manager for a potential role in Indonesia, providing procurement and grants administration support to various programs and initiatives funded by the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Based in Jakarta for a 24month period, the role of International Grants Manager will suit a driven professional that is looking to provide high end grants management and administration support to this diverse program.

The Role

As the International Grants Manager, you will be responsible for:

Leading and managing all aspects of Grant Management within the program;Establishing grants management and administration procedures that are consistent with the Commonwealth Grants Rules and Guidelines and local requirements;Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with DFAT and the Indonesian Government in order to deliver effective grant management;Overseeing and managing the grantees’ implementation, expenditure and reporting on the grant; andMaintaining fully documented and detailed records of all grant management activities.

The remuneration for this role will be aligned with the Australian Government's Adviser Remuneration Framework commensurate with your skills, experience and expertise.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

A minimum of 10 years international experience in grants management and administration in developing countries;In-depth knowledge of international and donor grants systems and documents, ideally including knowledge of the Australian Commonwealth Grants Rules and Guidelines;Demonstrated ability to manage and review acquittals for Grants;Demonstrated ability to build the bid preparation and grant management capacity of stakeholders and grant management staff, including the provision of tools, templates, resources and training/briefings;Work experience in teams of multi-cultural specialists;Experience in working with donors and governments in developing countries;Good analytical/problem solving skills and an eye for detail; andExcellent written and verbal communications skills in the English language.
