Indonesia: Chief of party






Chemonics seeks an experienced chief of party for an anticipated USAID project to support climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction in Indonesia. This project will work with the government of Indonesia and other stakeholders to integrate disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation into core development plans, strengthen the ability of communities to mitigate the effects of climate change, and develop key climate information services, among other goals. The ideal candidate is a senior-level manager with a demonstrated track record in climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction work with experience leading a diverse team. The chief of party will oversee multiple work streams and provide vision, leadership, and management oversight. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure day-to-day technical and financial performance in accordance with the project's scope of work and annual work plansServe as the project's key liaison with USAID, government counterparts, academic institutions, and local partners; work with client and partners to create a strategic, long-term programmatic visionManage project personnel and subcontractors in compliance with USAID rules and regulationsOversee project work planning, performance management, and strategic communicationsLink with and leverage bilateral and regional projects that complement project goalsQualifications:
Advanced degree in science, policy, economics, or a related fieldMinimum 10 years of progressive senior-level experience working on/with donor-funded governance projects; chief of party experience on a USAID project preferredExperience collaborating with government officials, international donors, private sector representatives, and local community stakeholdersExperience in Southeast Asia or similar contexts required. Experience in Indonesia preferredStrong interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skillsDemonstrated lead?ership, versatility, and integrityFluency in English required; proficiency in Indonesian Bahasa a plusHow to apply:Application Instructions:
