Commissioning Engineer


The Company:
An oil company is seeking some Commissioning Engineer

The Role:
• To support the SURF Commissioning coordinator in controlling/manage the execution of Commissioning & start-up activities associated with Subsea Control Systems during the testing and integration phase.
• To supervise the Subsea Control System Contractors’ while implementing their commissioning tasks
• Ensuring that works are performed according to project specifications, international rules and schedule
• To verify that Contractors respect all the relevant HSEQ procedures and regulations relevant to the control discipline.
• The job holder is accountable for commissioning preparation, execution, documentation and handover to operations.
• Approve the commissioning plans and procedures relevant to equipment and systems installed on the Subsea Control System with the aim of a smooth integration in the FPU topside
• Review/approve the Contractor ‘ commissioning and testing procedures for both Topside and Subsea Control elements of the system
• Coordinate tests execution
• Monitor Punch lists population, follow-up and clearance
• Monitor Ready for commissioning certificates
• Commissioning certificates approval
• Dealing with the contractors to solve minor problems
• Support the Commissioning coordinator in resolving NCR and SQ
• Support the Commissioning coordinator with overall periodic overall reports
• Responsible for:
o Timeliness and efficiency of works execution
o Technical quality of project Commissioning procedures
• Support the Commissioning SPT in planning and monitoring (schedule, cost and compliance of work to project specifications).
• Monitoring the progress and coordinating actions required to keep project on budget and on time.
• Supervising and coordinating the commissioning activities ensuring that the highest HSEQ standards are maintained throughout the project.
• Supporting the preparation of the necessary certificates for handing-over the facilities to Operations
• Supporting the Commissioning coordinator in preparing the close-out report
• Supporting the Commissioning coordinator in handing over the plant to Operations
• Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with Client’s HSE policy, procedures and Safety Management System
• Comply with all relevant company HSE policies and procedures where appropriate
• Actively participate and support all company Health, Safety & Environmental plans, initiatives and improvements
• Report all accidents and incidents
• Carry out Emergency Response duties in accordance with company requirements, if required.
• Interface with Senior Management, team specialists;
• Liaise with the Commissioning Services Contractors;
• Liaise with contractors, supplier and consultants as required;
• Liaise with Indonesian Institutes, Approval Bodies and technical staff;
• Liaise with Production Operations team specialists.
• Liaise with SKK-Migas, Dirjen Migas TNI-AL (Navy), KLH (Kementrian Lingkungan Hidup) for AMDAL, etc


Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Fluent in English
• At least 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry in both onshore and/or offshore facilities
• At least 5 years of experience in Subsea technologies for oil/gas field development projects.
• Experienced in operation for offshore gas facilities is beneficially
• Good technical, communicational and working skills;
• Proactive approach to decision making;
• Ability to work with and coach foreign Nationals;
• Compliance: Local/National and International Standard and Codes, Health, Safety, Environment, Quality.
