Instrument Supervisor (Topside)
The Company:
an Oil Company is seeking an Instrument Supervisor (Topside)
The Role:
• Review installation and diving procedures and ensure all tasks are prepared to be performed in a safe, practical and efficient way.• Check structures key installation items on construction Yard and assist load-out operations as required
• Supervise Key Equipment and Vessel Mobilisation
• Ensure and monitor the safety of Personnel as well as the protection of the environment.
• Ensure that all Contractors comply at any time with safety rules, taking actions as required in case Golden Rules are not respected, stopping the work if it is deemed unsafe, and organizing tool-box meetings and recovery plans.
• Ensure that all activity are properly covered by a Permit To Work (PTW) as required by COMPANY rules. Ensure that PTW are timely issued, properly documented and filled-in. Make sure safe working practices are used by the team and the various Contractors at any time
• Lead all operational activities performed : Subsea surveys, Rigid pipe laying, saturation and air diving works, heavy lifts for Jackets and Topsides installation, Electrical cable laying, preparation works.
• Guarantee good performance of the activities in compliance with the approved procedures, task sheets, GS or any other Project or COMPANY requirements. Ensure all measures defined in risk analyses are in place.
• Establish and maintain effective working relations with EPCI Contractor, their sub-contractors, to ensure that Project objectives are met. Promote the Company image and have exemplary behaviour
• Supervise the team, ensuring that it works to its best potential and dedication to Safety to meet the Project targets.
• Verify that the services performed by the contractors comply with the terms and conditions set out in the contracts. If required, assist EPCI2 Package Manager to analyse and prepare answers to Contractor’s claims.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 15 years of work experience including as a minimum:
• Management experience in marine operations, sub-sea works (diving and ROV) and vessel management (including DP vessel) in a Construction Contractor company in Oil & Gas industry
• Offshore experience in rigid pipeline/umbilical laying, platform installation and heavy lifts
• Ability to adapt and to represent the company in discussions with Contractor
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. Leadership for Personnel Management in a challenging environment.
• Good Communication skills in English (both spoken and written)
• Strong communication / interpersonal / teamwork skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
