FPU Process System Specialist


The Role:
• The successful candidate will initially be based in Ulsan, South Korea for the first 3 months, then in Karimun Indonesia for 8-9 months and the remaining period in Balikpapan & Field
• Reports to: FPU Commissioning Coordinator

Purpose:
• Monitor and perform all commissioning operational tests of process units in order to reach a proper plant start up at the onshore, at shore and offshore location.


The job-holder is accountable for commissioning preparation, execution, documentation and handover to operations.
Main activities will include:


• Ensure that an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture is reflected during every day work processes, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Provide input to the overall commissioning completion planning for the FPU
• Work closely with EPCI Contractor personnel on the preparation of commissioning documentation and procedures.
• Be fully conversant with all disciplines involved in a live commissioning functional test.
• Be fully conversant with all systems involved in a live commissioning functional test.
• Ensure that all documentation required for Commissioning and Start-up activities is available and correct
• Monitor and assist EPCI Contractor to ensure the onshore commissioning is maximized and offshore carry-over work eliminated/minimized
• Review EPCI Contractors engineering design drawings and confirm system boundaries
• Monitor and assist with preparing detailed Commissioning Procedures and Executive Summaries
• Monitor and assist with identifying test equipment requirements.
• Monitor and assist with identifying utility requirements, chemicals etc. required for commissioning.
• Monitor and assist with preparing Job Safety Analyses for commissioning activities
• Prepare and organize utilities system functional test and provide experience for trouble shooting activities
• Prepare and organize process system functional test and provide experience for trouble shooting activities
• Prepare and organize the integrated commissioning procedure involving all systems located on the FPU in order to reach a safe start up


Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Fluent in English
• At least 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry in both onshore and/or offshore facilities
• At least 10 years of experience in offshore commissioning of oil/ gas field development projects
• Previous Upstream Engineering Floating Production Unit commissioning experience would be advantage
• Experienced in operation for offshore gas facilities is beneficially
