Hivos is a Dutch non-governmental organization guided by

humanist values. It aims at structural poverty alleviation with

a strong focus on civil society building and sustainable

economic development. Hivos provides financial support for

local NGO’s, is active in networking, lobbying and exchanging

knowledge and expertise.

Agri-ProFocus, founded in 2005, is a partnership of 35 Dutch

development agencies, credit institutions, training and

knowledge institutions and private companies. Agri-ProFocus

believes that worldwide primary producers are the key to local

economic growth and sustainable agri-food systems and food

security for all. Agri-ProFocus envisages empowered

entrepreneurial farmers (men and women), their families and

organizations accessing agri-businesses, markets and investment

opportunities.

Experience from within the Agri-ProFocus network has shown that

to promote farmer entrepreneurship, multiple actors need to act

and learn together around critical intervention areas. To this

purpose Agri-ProFocus has developed local action-oriented

networks to promote farmer entrepreneurship.

Hivos is an international development organisation guided by

humanist values. Together with local civil society

organisations in developing countries, Hivos wants to

contribute to a free, fair and sustainable world. Hivos works

in many parts of the world, including South East Asia, which is

located in Jakarta, Indonesia. Hivos Regional Office South East

Asia manages many program in Open and Green Sector, including

hosting AgriProFocus Indonesia.

For its Southeast Asia Regional Office in Jakarta, Hivos seeks

qualified Indonesian candidates for the position of:

Functional context

AgriProFocus is an international network with Dutch roots that

promotes and drives farmer entrepreneurship among farmers and

their organizations. It is a network that offers a central

place (online and offline) where organisations, professionals,

and agri-businesses can meet, do business and share resources

and knowledge. AgriProFocus is active in Africa (12 countries),

Indonesia and in the Netherlands, and organizes a regular

calendar of Business-2-Business events and fairs, expert

meetings, knowledge events and debates. Moreover, the network

provides brokering services as well as an active online space

for networking and exchange. In Indonesia, AgriProFocus is

hosted by Hivos.

AgriProFocus team consists of two people: Country Coordinator

and Assistant Country Coordinator. The Assistant Coordinator

will support day-to day activities of AgriProFocus Indonesia

network, and assist in events, meetings, etc.

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Facilitating and moderating the online platform in line
   
   with procedures and guidelines; inviting members to engage and
   
   contribute.
   


2. Implementing the marketing strategy of AgriProFocus at
   
   country level.
   


3. Developing fact sheets and other public relations
   
   materials.
   


4. Contributing to the drafting of country plan progress
   
   reports.
   


5. Participating in and contributing to steering committee
   
   meetings and processing the meetings’ minutes.
   

6.Contributing and participating in the

AgriProFocus core group.

1. Assisting the Country Coordinator in supporting partners in
   
   the development of their business.
   

8.Assisting the Country Coordinator in

facilitating the innovation communities at country level.

1. Organising and publishing reviews and articles about
   
   (AgriProFocus) events on the online platform.
   

10.Any other duties assigned by the Country

Coordinator AgriProFocus.

Knowledge, experiences and competencies

· Minimum of Bachelor and >1 year relevant working

experience.

· Excellent communication skills in English or French language.

· Facilitating skills.

· Good writing skill in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
