Chemonics seeks a deputy chief of party for the anticipated
$18 to $20 million USAID Adaptasi Perubahan Iklim dan
Ketangguhan (APIK) Project aimed at improving Indonesia’s
ability to manage climate and disaster risk. The project will
support the Indonesian government in integrating climate
change adaptation and disaster risk reduction into
investments and planning processes. The deputy chief of party
will assume all chief of party responsibilities when the
chief of party is not available, and support the chief of
party on overall project administration and management. We
are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a
difference in the lives of people around the world.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field of study,
such as environmental management, agriculture, fishery,
spatial planning, economics, or public policy; natural earth
or physical sciences; engineering; business administration;
governance; or climate change, climate change adaptation, or
disaster resilience; or other related field
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in climate
change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, or a related
natural resources management or environmental field
- Experience in the administration of a similar size
international donor support programs, with skills in
strategic planning, management, supervision, and budgeting
- Hands-on field implementation experience and contract
management skills
- Relevant work experience in Indonesia or Southeast Asia
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English
