Chief of party | ReliefWeb
Chemonics seeks a chief of party for the anticipated $18 to
$20 million USAID Adaptasi Perubahan Iklim dan Ketangguhan
(APIK) Project aimed at improving Indonesia’s ability to
manage climate and disaster risk. The project will support
the Indonesian government in integrating climate change
adaptation and disaster risk reduction into investments and
planning processes. The chief of party, to be based in
Jakarta, will oversee administration and management of the
project and serve as the primary point of contact for
USAID/Indonesia, the Indonesian government, and other donors
and key stakeholders. We are looking for individuals who have
a passion for making a difference in the lives of people
around the world.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as
environmental management, agriculture, fishery, spatial
planning, economics, or public policy; natural earth or
physical sciences; engineering; business administration;
governance; climate change, climate change adaptation, or
disaster resilience; or other relevant field
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience related to
the successful implementation of large and complex
development projects in climate change, disaster risk
reduction, environmental management, or natural resources
management
- Proven leadership in management of similar size
international donor support programs, with skills in
strategic planning, management, supervision, and budgeting
- Current and proven working experience with senior
government officials, private sector leaders, and other
stakeholders in the climate change, disaster management, or
other relevant development sectors
- Demonstrated skills in building, mobilizing, and leading
multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant work experience in Indonesia or other Southeast
Asian countries
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English
