Oxford HR working with Rare to recruit a Senior Director of

Programmes. The position is based in Bogor, Indonesia, and will

have a salary of c.$85,000.



Rare are a fast-growing, international conservation

organisation with a budget of $20 million and partners in 50+

countries. They believe that conservation comes down to

people—their behaviours toward nature, their beliefs about its

value and their ability to protect it without sacrificing basic

life needs.



Rare’s Indonesia’s program is pursuing an ambitious “Fish

Forever” country strategy with a goal to shift near shore

fisheries towards sustainability. Reporting and working closely

with Rare Indonesia Vice President, the Senior Director,

Programs will lead and direct teams (comprises of directors and

managers) to implement the Fish Forever Program in Indonesia.

The Fish Forever strategy in Indonesia consists of prototyping

Fish Forever at three sites and implementing Fish Forever with

twelve district governments, together with other program

elements currently under development. The long term goal that

this position will have to achieve is to create a high

performing team that has established “proof points” of Fish

Forever that will serve as bright spots for future scaling of

the program.



The position of Senior Director is a truly unique leadership

opportunity. Ideally the candidate will have an excellent

understanding of Indonesia, its people, languages and culture.
