Quality Assurance Co-ordinator...

A 6 month contract for immediate start to work as part of the QHSE team where you will be dealing with a specific project. Responsibilities include the following :-


Responsible for acting as focal point for quality issues within the project.Preparation of Quality plans in support of the projects departmentAuditing/reviewing suppliers processes, ensuring conformity to approved quality plans and supplier suitabilityReviewing and approving suppliers quality and test plansReviewing supplier documentation provided in relation to ISO accreditation and assist in approved supplier processCarrying out routine inspections on supplier premises.Reviewing QA certification received from suppliers in a timely manner following receipt and ensuring certificates meet what was orderedPreparing, reviewing and approval of QA data packs and manufacturing booksArrange for clients representatives to sign off equipment and documentation releaseAct as liaison point during design and manufacturing processAssisting in signing off of internal testing operations and inspectionsEnsuring routine inspection of rental assets is maintained to ensure continuous certificationSupport the QHSE manager in achieving the highest level of QA standards within the business

Ideally you will have experience in heavy engineering and fabrication in a quality role with the following knowledge and experience:-


Familiarity with ISO accreditation and its requirementsDemonstrable experience of and knowledge of the oil and gas industryPrevious roles to include quality coordinator/manager or similarExperience in writing quality plans and procedures and implementation of thesePossess experience of equipment certification and ability to review/understand material and testing certificates and their traceabilityUnderstand pressure testing and have an awareness of NDT/Pre/Post heat treatment and inspection, visual, thread inspection and load testing etcIdeally will have knowledge of other industry standards such as API, Norsok, ATEX

Skills required are:-


Possession of an auditor qualification is highly desirableIdeally would hold a qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar ( HND, Degree, BSc)Experience in QC inspection and use of measuring equipment would be an advantageComputer literate on Microsoft Office packagesHave excellent written, oral and presentation skillsReport writing skillsMulti tasking skills and ability to prioritiseEnsure tight deadlines are metIt is essential you have experience using Microsoft Project
