Website Manager...

Organisation Description

theBigGive.org.uk is a charitable website, which showcases the work of over 8,000 charities, providing an online donation service and organising annual fundraising Challenges. The most recent challenge raised over £9million for charity and launched with a fundraising party at Fortnum & Mason, attended by 800 high profile guests.

The online challenges generate considerable traffic to the website and this year over £2 million was donated by credit and debit cards through the website on the first day, generating millions of requests to the webservers, especially within the first hour. The site receives over ½ million unique visitors per annum and is used by some charities as their sole provider of online donation facilities meaning continuity of service is paramount.
