Indonesia: Finance Manager
THE POST: FINANCE MANAGER
Position Summary
In this role, you will:
· Oversee the financial operations and to maintain the statutory books in accordance with Indonesia Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP) including the timely production of monthly and quarterly reporting
· Part of Country Coordination team and responsible to take leading role in overall financial management, financial reporting and budgeting
· Ensure Indonesia office complies with all tax regulation.
· Liaise with Indonesia Auditor for Indonesia statutory account, report and compliance.
· Lead the Indonesia Finance Team
Key Duties
1.Responsible for Financial Reporting and SUN System
· Responsible for the financial operations and to maintain the statutory books in accordance with Indonesia Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP) including the timely production of monthly and quarterly reporting
· Responsible for proper transaction analysis and adjustment transaction as well as to ensure proper account code and budget code.
· Ensure all transactions will be properly and timely recorded and uploaded into SUN system and the records comply with GPSEA Regional accounting manual and Book Close schedule.
· Ensure financial and accounting transaction adhere to GAAP and IAS.
· Ensure adequate and accurate financial report to support smooth operations, i.e. Bank status, Staff advance aging, Debtor Aging, etc.
· Responsible for the country book closing process and coordinate with Regional Accountant and Thailand Finance and Office Manager for monthly and year end book closing including responsible for Indonesia inter office transactions reconciliation. This includes responsible for all Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation during book close process, maintain asset register, depreciation and amortization transactions, etc.
· To ensure proper taxation and report submission to Revenue Department.
· Liaise with auditor as well as to prepare document and report as required by the auditor for interim and year end auditing and to ensure compliance of statuary report.
· Ensure the office maintain accounting data and document as required by Revenue Department and/or other government unit.
· Perform other duties to ensure proper internal control system to be imposed.
· Responsible to provide reports as required by Greenpeace International such as Audit Questionnaire, International Campaign Audit Questionnaire.
2. Responsible for Financial Management to ensure smooth cash flow to support smooth operations of Indonesia country.
· Coordinate with Thailand Finance and Office Manager for completeness of Indonesia quarterly budget request which required for quarterly cash planning and operational forecasting for budget reallocation.
· Responsible to monitor cost to ensure effective and efficiently use of donations and regularly review major expenditures and ensure all significant contracts are negotiated on a competitive basis and transparency.
· Ensure all payment paid by Indonesia office supported by valid document and comply with rules and regulations enforced by Indonesia law and regulations. Also the payment complies with approved budget request and GPSEA financial S.O.P.
· When making payment for staff payroll, ensure the payment comply with staff employment contract as well as ensure necessary deductions comply with related law and regulation.
· To perform other related duties to ensure sufficient cash to support smooth operations.
3. Staff Management To develop and retain staff to ensure best practice in GPSEA financial accounting.
· To establish and set objective for ID Finance Officer, ID Accountant, ID Team Leader. Adjustment to the objective during the year is possible.
· To review, evaluate and provide feed-back for staff improvement.
· To provide coaching, training and supports for staff development.
4. Assist the Organizational Support Director in relation to Organization Development.
Assist Organizational Support Director to ensure the country has adequate financial systems and internal controls in place.Coordinate with Organizational Support Director to enforce for GPSEA financial S.O.P. compliance as well as other related policies (procurement policy, asset management) in the country.To participate in Office Planning process and assist Organizational Support Director to complete offices annual budget and office 3-year plan.To improve and implement policy and/or program to accommodate Organization Mission, Strategy and Needs for office long term expansion and growth.To lead, motivate and manage own team to ensure the effective performance of the units and in line with organization aims and objectives.5. Others:
Conduct financial induction to newly joined staff.Responsible to manage own unit budget.Qualification:
· Min Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting
· At least 12 Years qualified experience in Finance and Accounting such as budgeting process, book closing process, account reconciliation process, etc.
· Minimum 3 years in managerial or team leader level and proven record of a good team leader
· Experiences with SUN accounting system will be an asset /preferable.
· Good command in English (both written and spoken) and
· Microsoft Excel, especially spreadsheet and pivot table function.
· Posses knowledge of reporting methodologies and IT skills particularly in the use of database, spreadsheet and Pivot Table
· Demonstrate sound knowledge and experiences in standard financial policies and procedures, Indonesia taxation, transaction analysis with compliance to GAAP/IAS and demonstrate ability to maintain and/or implement proper internal controls.
