CHIEF OF PARTY, IUWASH PLUS- INDONESIA

Tetra Tech ARD, headquartered in Burlington, Vermont (http:www.tetratechintdev.com/) is currently accepting applications from qualified Chief of Party (COP) candidates for the anticipated USAID-funded Indonesia Urban Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (IUWASH) PLUS project. The project aims to assist the Government of Indonesia (GOI) to increase access to improved water and sanitation services and improve key hygiene behaviors, especially among the poorest and most vulnerable. This would be a full-time position based in Jakarta. Local candidates are encouraged to apply.

The COP is responsible for overall management, technical direction and administration to ensure IUWASH PLUS activity success. The Chief of Party ensures the quality and timeliness of all activity deliverables. He/she will be responsible for ensuring effective coordination of IUWASH PLUS tasks with those of relevant GOI ministries and agencies, international/local institutions, and other relevant USAID funded activities.

Qualifications:

*At least fifteen years of professional experience in fields related to the successful implementation of this activity such as water and sanitation technical expertise, local governance capacity building for improvement of water and sanitation services, and health & hygiene behavior change promotion.

*Hold at least a Master degree in a relevant field, e.g. environmental or civil engineering, public health, business administration, governance.

*Proven professional experience in effective leadership and administration of a complex and multifaceted activity such as IUWASH PLUS.

*Adept in strategic planning, budgeting, adaptive management, and supervision.

*Demonstrated proven ability to develop a holistic vision for an activity containing many disparate parts and communicate this vision with his/her team for activity implementation and success.

*Working experience in developing countries required with sufficient experience in Indonesia to understand and navigate the complex configuration of stakeholders and institutions key to achieving success under the IUWASH PLUS activity.

*Strong English writing and speaking skills required.

*Some proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia preferred.
