Overview :
Fidelity Bank’s Loan Coordinator will play a vital role in the loan process, assisting Home Loan Specialists with the origination of first and second mortgage loans and ensuring the highest degree of efficiency, regulatory compliance, and ultimately, LifeDesign , throughout the process.
The ideal candidates for this position will have strong compliance acumen; excellent organizational skills; the ability to communicate with multiple parties, internally and externally, clearly and effectively; and possess knowledge and experience in lending.
Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
All associates of the Bank regardless of title or responsibilities must share a common commitment to creating and expanding the Advisory Culture of the Bank through building relationships, providing a seamless customer experience at every touch point, ensuring the customers best interests and increasing customer value at every opportunity.
- Provides the highest level of customer service in a positive, courteous and enthusiastic manner to employees, customers/clients and the community.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of all Bank and correspondent loan products, services, policies and procedures and helps ensure compliance with these and all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Truth-in-Lending, Real Estate Settlement Procedures act, Massachusetts Adjustable Rate Mortgage regulations, and Fair Lending.
- Coordinates all communication regarding pending mortgage and equity applications and is responsible for meeting the Bank’s service timelines for all loans originated. Works closely with originator, borrowers and other related parties. Updates all parties regarding loan status and requests necessary information and documents. Provides customer support and develops a working relationship with originators, Realtors, attorneys, appraisers and other vendors.
- Cross-trained in the areas of Third Party Processing and closing.
- Staying up to date with secondary market automated underwriting guidelines and correspondent process requirements.
- Responsible for verifying loan is in compliance and staying up to date with all state and federal compliance regulations including but not limited to RESPA, TILA, ECOA, Fair Lending, Dodd-Frank, and TRID.
- Communicates with originators and applicants regarding the status of applications in process.
- Provides assistance with pending mortgage and equity applications. Works closely with the originator and borrowers following up to obtain all necessary information and documentation.
- Prepares loan package and submits to the production department for processing. Updates information, generates commitment letter and follows up on remaining conditions prior to closing.
- Helps coordinate the timely and professional processing and closing of mortgage and equity applications. Works with the production staff to create seamless processes.
- Provide back-up to the Loan Opener. Duties to include proper disclosure of all new loans as well as placing all required 3 rd party orders.
- Other duties as may be required.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma, strong communication and organizational skills and experience in processing and or originating FHLMC, FHA and VA loans is a plus. Able to work independently and function as part of the lending team. Must have a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. Fluent with a variety of technologies.
