OVERVIEW
Equilar is looking for a Quality Engineer to join the Engineering team. This person wears the customer hat, takes ownership and works closely with Product/Project Managers and Engineers in a scrum environment.
Responsibilities:
Create test plans, test cases for front end and back end.
Diagnose problems, report bugs, and suggest enhancements.
Interface with quality team, development, product management to understand uses and functionality.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications:
BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Knowledge of software QA methodology and project management.
Experience testing and deploying web based applications.
Experience in writing SQL queries.
Possess excellent communication and cross-group collaboration skills.
Self-starter, quick learner, and proactive.
Preferred Qualifications:
Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging.
Influence better design, promote QA/Engineering best practice, bug prevention strategies, and advanced concepts.
Knowledge of Cloud architecture, application deployment (Amazon AWS, S3, EC2).
Experience developing test automation in Java.
Experience with tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Maven.
Work with distributed teams.
