ASSISTANT HEALTH RECORDS MANAGER...

Job Description

Reed Specialist are currently seeking an Assistant Medical Record Manager to work across the medical sector in the local area. This position is temporary for approx 4-6 weeks and will require travelling around departments, therefore it is required that you have have access to a vehicle and have a full drivers licence. 

Duties:

Assume responsibility for the day to day supervision of all Records Services and administration staff for the Essex locality, ensuring that they are aware of their daily duties and that professionally correct attitudes and procedures are maintained regarding requests and enquiries.

To be responsible for the management of records staff in regard of staff appraisals, salary / sickness returns, authorising annual / study leave, recruit of staff, ensuring appropriate cover during opening hours for all services.

To manage all Information gathering and reporting for all services throughout the locality and the training of all administration staff to support the information.

To be responsible for the preparation of all statistical information as required. 

Assist the Head of Records Management in monitoring services in line with changing company guidance.

To be responsible for security arrangements, for administering the reporting and recording procedures for security breaches, missing records and relevant audits and to liaise with the Head of Records Management and Information Governance Manager regarding any security situations. 

To be an authorised signatory to order stock and stationery, travel / mileage, etc.

To organise and attend regular staff meetings as appropriate, in liaison with the Head of Records Management.
