Drilling Supervisor


The Company:
an Oil Company is seeking a Drilling Supervisor

The Role:
• Participation in development of program for cost effective drilling systems.
• Co-ordination & control of company hired rig & other service contractor’s equipment, personnel & services for efficient drilling operations.
• Monitoring work in adherence with quality control, safety and environmental guidelines.
• Planning & mobilising material, equipment and services required for scheduled drilling program.
• Ensuring that all the personnel operate in an efficient and professional manner and study their operational reports as per the standards established by the operator.
• Co-ordinating with management on daily progress and ensuring the compliance with scheduled deadlines.
• Co-ordinating & monitoring rig site operations carried out by offshore drilling rig using all other services in accordance with the company provided plans/programs.
• Interfacing with the supply bases and internal logistics team.
• Day to day liaison with Senior Drilling Supervisor, Senior Drilling Engineers, Environmental Management, Drilling Superintendents & Logistics Coordinator at onshore office, with regards to material and personnel movement requirements.
• Achieving a smooth, safe & incident free operation on rig.
• Preparation of DDR (Daily Drilling Report) & cost sheet.
• Checking and maintaining records of job ticket prepared by third party vendors for invoicing.
• Strictly following cost control methods.
• Implementing drilling fluids program.
• Preparing look ahead program and following; and
• Assisting with draft preparation of the EOWR, capture and application of lessons learned.


Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Age limit maximum forty-five (45) years old.
• Minimum of 10 years drilling industry experience and supervising the drilling rig in drilling operations.
• At least worked 3 years as Night DSV and of this at least 2 years offshore.
• At least 2 years worked as Drilling Engineer.
• Has worked at least 2 years with a major International Oil Company (Shell, Total, BG, BP, XOM, Chevron, Woodside or equivalent), or PETRONAS.
• Has international (outside own geographic region) working experience for a minimum of 2 years. Alternatively has worked in South East Asia for a minimum of 2 years. Alternatively a combination of the aforementioned requirements.
• IWCF Supervisor combined subsea and surface stack certificate.
• Have valid Well Control Certificate (IWCF) and Ahli Pengendali Bor (APB) MIGAS Certificate covering the well operation campaign duration.
• Have valid offshore safety passport (T-BOSIET)


Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Excellent in English language – written and spoken fluently, knowledge of hydraulic drilling rigs, directional development well drilling, well operations
• Experience in development wells operation, ERD, well unloading and completion operation, Coring, Casing Drilling and MPD operation, WBM, SBM and any other treated water based mud system in drilling operation
• HND/D3 academic degree or equivalent.
• Self motivated, high initiative and adaptability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to follow internal procedures and controls.
• Dedicated team player with ability to multi task.
• Well organized with attention to detail.
• Able to work effectively within an executive management team.
• Professional presentation and manner at all times.
• Have a flexible approach in working hours to meet varying workloads and operational demands.
• Sound written and oral communication skills with ability to liaise with all levels of management and staff.
