I. POSITION INFORMATION

Position title : National Project Officer
Position grade : National Officer / NO-A
Base Salary : IDR 26,549,917,- per month
Duty station : Jakarta
Type of Contract : Special Short Term Contract for Nine months (the first three months will be considered as probation period). The tenure of contract of internal candidate holding a Fixed Term/Regular contract will remain unchanged.
Reporting directly to : Senior Programme Coordinator
Overall supervision by : Deputy Chief of Mission
Managerial responsibility: Yes
Directly reporting staff : Minimum 4 (four) staffs
Estimated start date : Immediately
Closing date: 25 November 2015


II. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT AND SCOPE


Preserving its mandate that humane and orderly migration benefits migrants and society, IOM has been providing continuous support to the government on the overall Migration Management. IOM Indonesia has successfully established and sustained its strong relations with the Government of Indonesia for the past 15 years. Continuing the support to the government’s effort in relation to Migration Management in Indonesia, IOM Indonesia has been providing capacity building sessions and numerous technical cooperation activities with various government institutions throughout Indonesia. Furthermore, to ensure the safeguarding of the migrants, IOM Indonesia has been performing its work on the basis of the Principles of the Humanitarian Actions (PHA) through embedded protection mainstreaming efforts in all of its activities.


Under the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Coordinator and the overall supervision of the Deputy Chief of Mission, the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and overall management of capacity building activities for the various institutions of the Government of Indonesia as well as other IOM’s relevant stakeholders, and to ensure that Case Management processes for the additionally vulnerable migrants are well managed in coordination with the The Regional Cooperation Arrangements-Statistics & Reporting Unit (RCA-SRU) team.
