Registered Manager / Assisted Living Co-ordinator...

Our client is a large nursing home group and they are looking to take on the services of a Registered Manager or Assisted Living Co-Ordinator.

The Registered Manager will also hold the position of Assisted Living or Reminiscence Co-ordinator therefore the responsibilities of the Registered Manager will exist in conjunction with the Assisted Living / Reminiscence Co-ordinator responsibilities.

Reports to:

The Registered Manager will report to the General Manager and will work in partnership with the Assisted Living / Reminiscence Co-ordinator and other coordinators to deliver high quality care.

Responsible for:

Liaising with the General Manager to ensure the effective operation of the community.Ensuring staff meetings take place regularly.Ensuring team members receive regular supervision and training along with any other support required to perform in their roles.Liaising with the HR Business Office Co-ordinator to ensure that new starter paperwork is in place i.e. contracts, references, ISA checks, CRB checks, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK, prior to new team members’ start dates.Ensuring compliance with CQC standards and the delivery of high quality of care within the community and to liaise effectively with CQC Inspectors, Neighbourhood Managers and the Area  team.Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely fashion.Working in partnership with the DCRs and Neighbourhood Managers in arranging assessments and ensuring 'move ins’ are managed sensitively and in line with the move in policy and process.  All 'move ins’ must be approved by the Registered Manager.Implementing and championing the 'Designated Care Manager’ working approach.Reporting complaints about quality of care and/ or regulatory compliance in line with companies complaints policy.Providing feedback to the General Manager regarding maintenance of the community, dining services and activities and to ensure these comply with CQC regulations.Establishing close positive links within the local area including GPs, discharge co-ordinators, private hospitals and other appropriate organisations.Attending meetings / updates and training sessions as required.Maintaining continuous professional development as required by their role and the Registered Manager responsibilities.

Qualifications and experience required as outlined by CQC

The registered manager is qualified, competent and experienced to run the home and meet its stated purpose, aims and objectives.The registered manager  has at least 2 years’ experience in a senior management capacity in the managing of a relevant care setting within the past five years

and

is a qualified RGN with RMA experience
