We are seeking a motivated and resourceful Elections Research Intern who will support an innovative new project we are undertaking for the 2016 elections to empower citizens with greater influence in the electoral process. This position is ideal for a student or recent graduate who is passionate about politics, technology, and civic engagement.
The Research Intern will report to the Communications & Marketing Manager in San Francisco, supporting a variety of research-related projects.
Here’s what you’ll do as part of our team:
Explore the intricate workings of the American electoral process, including the presidential primaries and caucuses.
Build and maintain a database of information related to elections, such as electoral rules and election dates.
Identify influential individuals and advocacy organizations have been or will be involved in the 2016 presidential elections.
Support outreach to and help manage communication with key stakeholders.
Compile relevant news, information, and research as it relates to our project.
Collaborate with our team of designers, engineers, and marketers to support various special tasks as they arise.

Excellent research and analysis skills.
Excellent written, verbal and social media communication skills.
Knowledge and experience in politics, campaigns, and/or advocacy is preferred.
The internship opportunity can be structured as either part- or full-time, and offered for both the summer and/or fall, with flexible start and end dates.
The position is based remotely during the summer and either remotely, in San Francisco, or in Washington, DC in the fall.
