Vacant Position: Program Officer – Fiscal Policy

Perkumpulan Prakarsa (Centre of Welfare Studies) is a Jakarta-based non-government think tank which works in policy research, production of knowledge, capacity building and policy advocacy in three development themes i.e. welfare policies (poverty and inequality, social security, employment, health, education, etc.), fiscal policies (tax and budget) and sustainable development (green economy, private sector responsibility).


We currently have a vacant position in our team as a Program Officer-Fiscal Policy (PO-FP). This position is a 12 (twelve) month initial contract based position which could be extended upon achievement and program needs, with job summary as follows:


· Managing day-to-day fiscal policy-related program activities. These include program planning and design, budgeting, monitoring, reporting and coordination with all related parties of our sustainable development related program, as well as correspondence with partners and donor agencies.


· Ensuring the quality of program implementation and its related research components (case studies, document reviews, etc).


· Ensuring the compliance of financial management of the program activities.


· Representing Prakarsa in various government, civil society and academics forum related to Prakarsa’s program activities at the national and international levels.


· Participating in the development of program proposal


· Willing to expand her/his social network among academia and research institutions, policy makers, private sector entities and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Indonesia and abroad.


Qualification:


· An Indonesian citizen, preferably lives in Jabodetabek area.


· A minimum of undergraduate degree in Economics, Economic Development, Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Finance, Accounting or other relevant discipline. Master’s degree is preferable.


· A minimum of 3 (three) years proven working experience in similar position


· Excellent analytical skills


· Have knowledge and understanding in tax policy/state budget in particular.


· Previous research or advocacy experience in overall economic and social policy issues is an advantage.


· Excellent communication skills and fluent in English (both oral & writing)


· Excellent organizational skills and creativity.


· Have developed sense of initiative and problem solving attitude


· A good team player


· Ability to work independently


· Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines


· Respect diversity and pluralism
