Perkumpulan Prakarsa is a Jakarta-based non-government institution which works in policy research, production of knowledge and advocacy in four main development themes i.e. poverty and inequality, welfare reform (social security, health, education, etc.), fiscal reform (tax and budget) and sustainable development.
We currently have a vacant position in our team as a Research Assistant (RA). This position is a 12 (twelve) month initial contract based position which could be extended upon achievement and program needs, with job summary as follows:
· Conduct library research (desk research) summarize it in the form of abstraction, bibliography, brief or report.
· Collate secondary data collected and analysis of information eg about the various aspects of economic and social (GDP, Budget, Taxes, Poverty, Employment, Gini index, bonds, etc.).
· Assist in collecting primary data if needed, through surveys or interviews.
· Compiling a database collected from secondary and primary data.
· Analyze primary and secondary data using basic statistical methods and data processing software such as STATA or SPSS.
· Assist in the implementation of various activities in research projects, including the dissemination of research results, etc., where necessary.
· Assist Program Officer in the management of the daily program (day-to-day management)
· Maintain and update the plan, timeline and plan program activities.
· Support the regular monitoring of the implementation of the program.
· Preparing the data and information needed for the preparation of financial reports and program activities for donors
· Responsible for data collection, both online and in person to update the database as well as part of the research activities of the institution.
· Responsible for database maintains maximum Initiative
· Assist in the implementation of programs and research in the field
· Conducting the first review of the financial statements for the donor program
· Assist Program Officer, Program Manager, and Communication Officer technically and operationally in other things that are important in the development of programs and research institutions (the preparation of proposals, concept notes, etc.).
Qualifications:
· Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1), from the Department of Economic Development will be an advantage.
· 1-2 years working experience or fresh graduates with relevant knowledge of the field. Female candidates are encourage to apply.
· Have strong quantitative and qualitative data analytical skills
· Familiar with quantitative data / statistics program (eg, Stata, Eviews, SPSS, etc.).
· Familiar with Susenas, Sakernas, Supas, Podes and / or SDKI data is an advantage
· Have good English language skills (oral and written)
· Had been work in research institutions is an advantage, but is still open for competitive candidate.
· Understanding the concept of reversal data and economic information and has a passion for social development issues in Indonesia.
· Good personality, work ethic and good communication skills.
· An Indonesian citizen, preferably lives in Jabodetabek area.
· Excellent organizational skills and creativity
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
