We are seeking an energetic and engaging Elections Outreach Manager who will help both imagine and implement a new platform Change.org is building to empower voters in 2016. The Elections Outreach Manager will be responsible for building a constituency of citizens, political candidates and national organizations to leverage our platform in an effort to give voters a greater influence in elections than ever before.

As a member of the elections team at Change.org, you’ll be working alongside a growing group of talented engineers, designers, and political organizers who are passionate about civic engagement and elections reform. In this startup-like environment, you will have the unique opportunity to leverage Change.org’s existing 100 million person userbase to help shape a new product focused on addressing some of the fundamental problems of the U.S. elections system.

Here’s what you’ll do as part of our team:
Develop an outreach and engagement strategy to guide the elections platform from its inception and launch through widespread national distribution and adoption.

Serve as a trusted, accessible, and dependable liaison between elections and our partners, stakeholders, and users.

Identify and recruit national organizations –– including advocacy groups and grassroots networks –– to use this elections platform as a means of advancing their particular message or cause.

Brief political candidates and their campaigns on this product, offering guidance on how to use the platform to reach voters.

And here are the skills & experience we hope you have:
Experience working directly with leading issue advocacy and/or candidate campaigns.

Proficiency in high-level outreach, partnership building, and stakeholder engagement.

Strong grasp of politics, the electoral process, and current U.S. political issues.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.

Demonstrated capacity to develop and maintain relationships with a diverse group of individuals and organizations.

Ability to work independently, contribute beyond one’s core responsibilities, and evolve with the direction of a fluid project.

Commitment to using data and metrics to track progress, refine approach, and measure success.

A willingness to take risks, fail, and adapt.

Strong sense of fun, innovation, and give-and-take — our team is constantly pushing the envelope and each other to challenge assumptions, go all-in, and imagine the (seemingly) impossible.
