5+ years as a Linux System Administrator

Strong problem solving and analytical skills within a complex deployment environment

Experience with DHCP servers/clients, DNS, subnets, IDS/Firewalls, VLANs, VPN, and wireless security/topologies

Experience setting up and configuring web servers (e.g. NGINX or Apache)

Indonesia Restoration Lead

The World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia is seeking a full-time Associate with excellent management, analytical, writing, as well as communication skills to manage the completion of project deliverables, coordinate and contribute to research, and lead outreach activities under its Forests and Landscape Restoration program. This person reports directly to the WRI Indonesia Country Director, and works in close coordination with the WRI Indonesia Restoration liaison based in Washington, DC.


The Indonesia Forests and Landscapes Restoration project aims to increase food security, improve livelihoods and human well being, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem productivity and climate change mitigation and adaptation through the restoration of degraded and deforested landscapes, including the introduction of trees into agricultural landscapes. Key objectives include:

Increased political inspiration, support and ambitious commitments to forest landscape restoration

Obstacles to restoration identified and in the process of being addressed through national and sub-national plans, policies and/or institutional frameworks

Strong capacity, financial support and credible measurement and monitoring of restoration activities provided


As one of the first environmental-economic think tanks in the country, WRI Indonesia offers an opportunity to impact data-driven decision making processes in the public, private, as well as civil society sectors. Its flagship projects,Global Forest Watch andGlobal Restoration Initiative, aim to address the challenges of sustainable land-use and climate change.


POSITION OVERVIEW:


This position requires an experienced project manager with a background or experience working on Indonesian land use, forestry, agriculture, or related fields. The ideal candidate will have sharp research and analytical skills, and be able to demonstrate their ability to effectively engage with high level Indonesian government officials, private sector stakeholders in forestry and agriculture sectors, as well as civil society.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Ensure timely execution and delivery of all project deliverables and objectives, managing technical staff and monitoring the project budget.

– Contribute to primary and secondary research on Indonesian restoration, forestry, land use, and other natural resource issues according to project publication priorities;

– Communicate and coordinate activities regularly with the WRI Indonesia liaison and Global Restoration Manager based in Washington D.C.,

– Conduct outreach and training activities to promote WRI’s data, analyses, and methods to relevant stakeholders in the public, private, as well as civil society sectors;

– Contribute to the development of WRI Indonesia’s strategy for restoration, working toward the achievement of WRI’s global restoration objectives;

– Manage one or more staff based at project field sites to achieve project objectives and deliverables

– Interpret and analyze media developments related to forest and landscape restoration and other natural resources issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

– Ideal candidate will have a Masters degree in forestry, agriculture, international development, environmental science, public policy, political science, or other relevant fields;

– Professional experience of minimum 5 years in natural resources-related fields;

– Experience managing projects in non-profit, governmental or private sector settings

– Very strong writing and research skills, excellent academic performance, as well as high level of organization and attention to detail;

– Familiarity with or interest in Indonesian natural resources issues;

– Experience in reviewing and analyzing Indonesian law and government regulations;

– Experience in monitoring and evaluation is a plus;

– Experience and proven ability to communicate effectively with Indonesian government officials;

– Willingness and ability to travel to remote parts of Indonesia, as well as some regional and international travel

Part 2: Overview


At WRI, we work hard to put ideas into action, meet our mission and goals, and ultimately protect the earth and promote sustainable and resilient development. This hard work leads to many positive results and outcomes, but it also contributes to our own environmental footprint. WRI has set institutional sustainability goals since 1999 and in 2010 revamped the process by creating the Sustainability Initiative – a project devoted to helping WRI reflect the change we want to see in the world by “walking the talk” on WRI’s research. While initially focused on GHG emissions, the project has been expanding to include the many aspects of environmental and social sustainability including, but not limited to, sustainable procurement and staff behavior, resource consumption, and transparency. This project is now five years (or half) way to the initial target date and we are looking to formalize the broader approach to WRI’s sustainability efforts.


To this end, we are seeking an experienced, creative, and motivated candidate as WRI’s Sustainability Manager. This position will continue to facilitate the integration of sustainability into WRI’s operations – ensuring that the Institute is “walking the talk” on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues whenever feasible. In this role, you will lead WRI’s internal collaboration on key sustainability issues, starting with an update of WRI’s sustainability strategy – to develop broader ESG goals, update existing targets, and support a new model of staff engagement. Your leadership and project management will enable the efforts of WRI administrative and research staff to successfully meet sustainability targets.


WRI’s internal sustainability project currently sits within the Administration group and the Sustainability Manager reports to WRI’s Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. The manager works closely with facilities, communications, conference services, and program staff across all WRI offices.


Responsibilities


Project Management (45%)

Lead WRI’s internal sustainability project, facilitating the integration of sustainability into all aspects of WRI, including:

Lead update process and implementation of WRI’s sustainability strategy:

Set broader ESG goals and update existing GHG targets based on lessons learned over the past five years

Develop metrics to track success.

Revamp staff engagement to enable greater participation and support of environmental research staff in WRI’s sustainability efforts and change behaviors to meet our goals.

Manage cross-organization projects and efforts that identify and support sustainability opportunities, leading to success with WRI’s goals.

Manage projects and engagement efforts across WRI to better integrate sustainability into WRI’s decision-making and operations.


Staff Engagement & Collaboration (25%)

Act as committee chair of WRI’s volunteer sustainability team – Sustainability Champions.

Manage collaboration with international office staff to institute key sustainability efforts globally.

Lead collaboration with WRI’s facilities, conference services/events, IT, and communication staff to support a sustainable workplace for staff and events.

Lead staff engagement approach to further internalize sustainability efforts.


Communication and Metrics Collection (30%)

Develop internal communications to engage staff in sustainability efforts.

Lead communication strategy for our work including annual Sustainability Report and support internal investigation of integrated reporting – following the Global Reporting Index approach.

Manage WRI’s Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory and other metric collection.


Qualifications


Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in environmental policy, engineering, public administration, public policy, economics, business, corporate sustainability/responsibility, or related field.

Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in fields related to sustainability/ESG.

Minimum 4-5 years of work experience in project management with demonstrated ability in project strategy.

Strong understanding of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and/or corporate sustainability issues.

Outstanding ability to communicate clearly, passionately, and confidently both internally and externally to influence, form networks, and drive change.

Excellent research, analytical, writing, presentation and organizational skills.

Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Ability to be flexible with approaches and to think outside the box to solve problems.

Proposal Summary:


The purpose of this anticipated five-year project is to work in partnership with the Government of Indonesia to build effective systems to prevent corruption. It will engage a variety of partners, including the Judiciary, various executive and independent agencies, civil society, and the media. This is a full-time position.

Position Summary:


The Information/M&E Manager will report to the Chief of Party (COP) and provide periodic feedback on measureable achievements towards targets of the CEGAH project .   • Ensure that M&E reports are sent to MSI Project Manager for editing, branding and marketing.

  • Ensure that M&E reports are produced on time and in a technically valid, high-quality manner.

  • Conduct the production of requested analyses of the data responding to requests from the MSI and USAID Mission in Indonesia.

  • Provide training to project staff on the PMP, the performance indicators, and how to collect the needed data.

  • Ensure that the project’s technical staff collects the required data for all performance indicators. Support technical teams in working with partner organizations and grantees, helping them to collect and organize data on performance indicators.

  • Ensure that Grant and subcontract PMPs are in line with CEGAH’s overall PMPs and contribute the necessary data.

  • Suggest additional useful analyses and carry out research or supervise short-term experts as assigned.

  • Build strong working relationships with the USAID mission, Government of Indonesia and civil society partners.

  • Conduct data verification exercises including data review and site visits (which may require travel throughout Indonesia);

  • Manage the repository of tools, guidelines and reference documents for M&E and other materials.

  • Prepare at least 2 success stories per month on basis of field visits or milestone accomplishments.

Communications:


  • Participate in the creation of quarterly reports. Lead preparation of by-component reports and act as point of contact for beneficiaries’ requests for specialized reporting systems.

  • Produce quarterly newsletters.

  • Produce public outreach materials for every component of the project and update on regular basis.

  • Oversee the implementation of the branding and marking plan at project and with grantees.

  • Act as the focal point and review board for draft products.

  • Advise staff and partners on acceptability of products and branding rules.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, project management, business or other relevant subject.

  • Strong knowledge of USAID M&E, Communications, and reporting requirements with at least 3 years of experience managing M&E systems for USAID programs.

  • Proven ability to strictly adhere to deadlines.

  • Strong writing skills. Experience writing project reports and success stories.

  • Experience with governance programs or good understanding of Indonesia’s governance context a plus.

  • Excellent oral and written English.

Responsibilities:

The Grants Manager will supervise and implement the issuing of sub-grants and subcontracts to local Indonesian organizations. S/He will supervise a small team and diverse group of partners, liaise with the MSI headquarters office and with the USAID Jakarta Mission.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate the grant program processes and serve as a prime contact for all technical grantee s and subcontractors.

  • Develop in coordination with MSI/HQ all documents and manuals related to the grant program, including, but not limited to: requests for application, grant agreements, amendments to grant agreements, grant evaluation manual, grant management manual, grant monitoring manual, grantee training manual.

  • Disseminate grant program announcements and collect applications.

  • Organize, coordinate and participate in the evaluation process of applications for grants, including work of the Evaluation Committee.

  • On behalf of CEGAH, review and negotiate with grant applicants on proposed scopes of work, work plans, and budgets.

  • Review and ensure compliance of all documents included in the application for a grant.

  • Provide training to grant applicants on preparation of the application for a grant.

  • Properly document all procedures and communication undertaken for the implementation of grants and subcontracts .

  • Monitor implementation of the grant projects. Work with the project M&E Manager to develop and regularly revise monitoring schedules.

  • Conduct regular site visits for monitoring and evaluation purposes , as needed .

  • Collect and review reports and deliverable and cost-share contributions submitted by grant recipients.

  • File and ensure presence of all grant documents including, but not limited to application for a grant, evaluation documents, certificates, grant agreement and any amendments, technical reports, deliverables, financial and cost-share reports.

  • Contribute to the annual project monitoring and evaluation plan (PMEP) in coordination with the Project’s M&E Manager and MSI/HQ.

  • Support the M&E Manager in the collection of data for the PMEP related to the grants program, and generate appropriate databases.

  • Prepare quarterly, annual and final report contributions regarding the grants program, including analyses of measurable accomplishments against activities conducted and program objectives.

  • Supervise the Grant Assistant.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or relevant subject required. Master’s degree preferred.

The Urban Economist will be a key subject matter expert and will facilitate program management and contribute to the development of high quality research products that are designed to influence targeted audiences.

Accessible, healthy, equitable, and environmentally-friendly cities: The WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities builds upon WRI’s successful track record in urban activities, introducing game-changing solutions that create more prosperous, livable cities. Our approach translates rigorous research into tangible practice at the scale and pace cities in the developing world need, leveraging a global network of trusted experts in urban economics, engineering, planning, finance, and policy. We work closely with leading financial, business, and city institutions to expand our influence and expedite the shift to sustainable cities. Through these partnerships, we provide objective information and practical proposals for policy and institutional change.

Sustainable transportation: Working across our EMBARQ Network for sustainable urban transport and other programs, we develop and support implementation of research-based solutions that reduce pollution, improve health, and create safe, accessible public spaces in cities. We collaborate with local and national decision-makers in Brazil, China, India, Mexico, and Turkey to implement projects that overcome the challenges of urbanization and make for greater cities. And we partner with businesses, governments, and civil society to scale our successful pilot projects globally.


In the first two years, the Urban Economist will conduct original research for the upcoming World Resources Report dedicated to cities and other research topics such as land value capture, the urban informal economy, municipal finance, and green/climate finance for cities.


The position is located in WRI’s Washington, D.C. office and will report directly to the Director of Research within the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities.


Responsibilities


Part 3: Responsibilities


The Urban Economist’s main areas of responsibility will include the following:


Research & Knowledge (80% of time required)

Effectively plan, design, and conduct economic analyses that advance the objectives of project teams working on issues across urban sectors.

Scale-up the results of these economic analyses in a manner that is precise, well structured, and tailored to decision-makers (not to other professional economists). This written material may take the form of informal memos, white papers, and official WRI publications. Some research may be submitted to economic journals, as well.

Engage in the WRI Economics community, promoting the integration of an economic dimension in relevant research projects.

Author or co-author knowledge products (e.g., reports, briefs, data-products) and present findings of economic analyses to external audiences.

Review knowledge products written by other WRI researchers and suggest methods that lead to robust and unbiased findings.

Mentor junior researchers.

Use evidence, critically analyze and assess economic research and arguments presented by project partners, stakeholders, and others.

Actively engage public and private sector decision-makers in one-on-one meetings, group briefings, and other venues to persuade them of WRI’s analytically based recommendations.

Possess knowledge of a wide range of city specific databases and sources of economic data relevant for cities around the world

Have experience integrating spatial urban data with economic and other data


Program/Project Management (10% of time required)

Directly managing outcomes and partnerships.

Monitoring and managing project deliverables, setting and clarifying priorities for global team members.

Monitoring and managing project budget performance, scoping progress according to planned milestones, expenses and revenue, and internal and donor reporting.

Completing institutional and donor reporting (narrative, quantitative and financial) for projects, including project outcomes.


Program Development (10% of time required)

Contributing to research proposals between a five and six figure fundraising goal.

Identifying and developing funding partner relationships through external outreach’; conducting due diligence on feasibility of use through fit-gap analysis.

Monitoring and complying with sub agreement guidelines.

Contributes to presentations and donor proposals.


Qualifications


Required Qualifications:
Masters in related field (urban and regional economics, public finance, public policy, political science, development economics, urban planning, etc).

Demonstrated knowledge in the political economy of urban governance, spatial economics and urban public finance in emerging economies is required.

Experience in promoting low-carbon cities, resilient cities or smart cities highly desirable.

Working experience in WRI’s main engagement countries highly desirable. (Brazil, China, India, Mexico, Turkey, Indonesia)

Strong track record of authoring published research.

Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write quickly under pressure and to deadline; ability to summarize complicated analyses in brief and clear messages.

Fluency in oral and written English. Fluency in another language is a plus.

Minimum 5-7 years of full-time work experience in relevant field, with research design, program implementation and project management experience

Prior supervision and mentorship of one or more junior staff

Exceptionally good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well in a team and with colleagues across countries

Strong quantitative, analytical research and econometrics skills

Strong statistical analysis skills with experience using statistical software such as Stata, SPSS, R, etc.

Detail-oriented and organized thinker who can juggle multiple, competing priorities

Ability to travel 20% or more when needed.


Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Economics with emphasis on urban and regional economics

Experience conducting economic impact analyses and evaluations in the field of sustainable urban development

Experience with external communications and/or donor management.

Nutrition Program Manager, Helen Keller International-Indonesia


Helen Keller International (HKI) is an international non‐governmental organization whose mission is to save the sight and lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged by combating the causes and consequences of blindness and malnutrition. We do this by establishing programs based on evidence and research in vision, health and nutrition. Established in 1915, HKI maintains its Headquarters in New York City, with Regional Offices in Senegal and Phnom Penh to support 22 country offices in Africa and Asia.

Since the 1970s, HKI‐Indonesia has been working to establish sustainable evidence‐based approaches to enhance health and nutrition, improve education for the disabled, and expand access to eye health services for Indonesians, particularly women and children. HKI-Indonesia’s programs are integrated at all levels of the government health and education structures by helping to develop its human resources and infrastructure, conduct needs assessments, analyze local context to inform program design and implementation, train personnel, provide basic equipment and medicines, deliver services if needed, and monitor program progress and evaluate program impact.

We are currently seeking a Nutrition Program Manager who will be responsible for overseeing HKI’s nutrition portfolio and provide technical leadership in nutrition.

Reports to: Country Director

Term: Up to one (1) year with possibility for extension


I. Program Description


Based in Jakarta, the Nutrition Program Manager will lead the design, management, implementation, and evaluation of HKI Indonesia nutrition, agriculture and food security programs. The Nutrition Program Manager will report to the Country Director and will be the main point of contact for national and international counterparts in the development and implementation of the nutrition programs in Indonesia.


II. Essential Job Functions


Program Leadership and Management

• Ensure effective project planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of programs in the field to achieve the objectives agreed to in grants and contracts for HKI Indonesia’s nutrition projects including, but not limited to, homestead food production (HFP), breastfeeding, micronutrient supplementation, and food fortification programs.

• Provide technical assistance to all national, provincial and district government counterparts, non-governmental partners and other stakeholders.

• Liaise with partners (Government agencies, NGOs) inside Indonesia for ongoing and planned programs.

• Lead the end-of-project household nutritional surveys in the project area;

• Work with the HKI Indonesia and Asia Pacific Regional team to use research and program data to develop new or refine existing program materials, ensuring technical integrity and quality.

• Participate in new staff recruitment.

• Supervise field based staff at project sites and HKI office in Jakarta.


Research, Monitoring and Evaluation

• Oversee the organization and execution of research and assist in data entry, analysis, and report writing.

• Lead the design and implementation of program-related surveys, including the household nutrition survey, and regular monitoring of the nutrition programs.


Program Development and Representation

• Represent HKI in workshops/seminars and technical meetings on nutrition, agriculture and food security.

• Assist Country Director with other duties as needed.

Metallurgical Engineer to provide support to the process department and plant operations at our Twin Creeks mine – a great team to begin or continue your career in the mining industry.

Perform a variety of engineering duties in the modification or adaptation of established systems, processes, or project plans. Essential job duties include:


Independently perform work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures or equipment with some complex features, and for which there are engineering standards as precedents established


Plan, organize and coordinate surveys, tests, or investigations. Collect data points, interpret results, and prepare recommendations. Presentation of executive summaries, and cost estimates to senior staff


Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in making minor adaptations and modifications to established engineering plans or systems


May direct the work of others in the modification or adaptation of systems or processes

Qualifications

IndoICC is a Bi-Annual international conference hosted by the Department of Communications, Universitas Indonesia. IndoICC 2015 invites scholars studying issues on communication and media from various fields of discipline to attend our international and national conference which be held in 10-11 December 2015. The theme of conference is Communication and Collaboration which has concern to rethink the role of media and communication in these settings of rapid social transformation. Another concern is to explicate the paradox of old and new media, structuration and agency and to have better understanding of what might seem as developments heading in contradictory direction.

The project will be conducted in 3 months (September – December 2015). Now we are hiring new officer in this project as a Sponsor & Partnership Officer who will be contracted with following key responsibilities:
