Description:
Position will consist of interpreting for health care patients with limited English proficiency. As a medical interpreter you will aid in doctor-patient communications at hospitals, clinics and other health care related venues. Transportation is required, and may not be compensated for.

Independent contractor position

No set hours. Work will be on call: all assignments will parallel appointments made by patients at health care facilities, thus having varying hours and lengths of notice.

Assignments will be of varying lengths and subject matter. I.e: Physical therapy & rehabilitation, surgery, diagnostics, examinations, mental health, etc.

Minimum requirements:
Knowledge, exposure, and comfort working in a medical setting

Must be willing to do training for the industry (40 hour medical interpreter training)

Complete fluency in target language (with supporting proficiency test results, Liberty can provide testing)

Important Details:
You may apply even if you have not already completed a medical interpreting course or formal training, however you must be available to complete said training immediately. Please inquire about details.

If you have no language proficiency test results to provide us, you will be asked to complete the Liberty Language proficiency test.

Independent Contractors are able to accept or decline assignments as they please. This gives you the flexibility to work or not work as what is convenient for you.

We pay our contractors between $20-30/Hour, depending on experience.
