NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS for a new greenfield operation for Newmont Mining Corporation in north eastern Nevada. This is an opportunity of a lifetime at our Long Canyon project. We are looking for employees to help start up this operation from the ground up. This project is expected to have lots of future potential. We will have a workforce of approximately 260 employees. If you are selected for a prescreen for a position you will be asked to do either a one way video or automated voice interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews. The Long Canyon project is located off 1-80 between Wells and West Wendover, NV. Are you ready? We are looking for candidates to fill this role in February, 2016.

Supporting Operations’ production goals by installing, supporting, and maintaining, accurately calibrated instruments. Essential job duties include:
Proficient in all Instrument Tech III skills
Assist operations, maintenance, and metallurgical groups by understanding, troubleshooting, problem solving, and optimizing instruments, equipment, and systems
Train other instrument techs
Communicate technical ideas to others
Design loop drawings and schematics
Develop and evaluate plant process and applied instrumentation, Advanced process control theory, Advanced Motor Control Center/Instrumentation interface
Perform advanced calibrations
Write and adapt calibrations and preventative procedures
Comply with state and federal health and safety regulations, company policies and procedures and the company’s environmental compliance policy
Tech level will be determined by experience and education

Qualifications
Minimum of four years instrumentation experience in a mining environment, or comparable related experience
Proficient in Tech III duties (internal) or equivalent experience (external). No written disciplinary actions within 6 months prior to request for upgrade
