Concierge - Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group - Idaho
Reports directly to the Head Concierge.
Offers a warm, sincere and personalized welcome to all guests.
Supervises, coaches and supports the Airport Representatives, Dorman, Limousine Drivers and Porters.
Ensures that Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Legendary Quality Experience Standards are fully implemented, maintained and exceeded throughout his/her team to meet and exceed our guests’ expectations.
Provides guests access to all Jakarta City and Indonesia has to offer.
Has an in depth knowledge of directions, travel time, cost and various forms of transportation.
Maintains a constantly updated database with extensive information about city highlights.
Maintains a consistent and sufficient level of current and up-to-date brochures, maps and handouts.
Creates special conversations with guests, which identifies personal preferences in order to record in each guest’s profile history.
Arranges tickets for theatre, sporting events, local attractions and any other event.
Arranges for package delivery and pickup for guests.
Provides guests with a confirmation card for dining reservations, transportation, theatre tickets, etc.
Communicates immediately all important details to management and colleagues.
Provides a daily list to the Front Office Manager of transportation reservations.
Acts as a guide when guests ask for direction and physically assists them to their destination within the hotel.
Provides clear directions for all guests traveling outside the hotel with supporting written instruction.
Ensures and maintains a very high standard of personal hygiene, behaviour and grooming standards of colleagues.
Handles guest complaints and comments relating to the department tactfully.
Control cleanliness of Limousine and ensure supply of amenities at all times.
Requirements:
2 years Concierge experience in a luxury hotel in Jakarta.
Being a member of Clefs d’Or would be an advantage.
Able to communicate written and spoken English and Indonesian.
Excellent overall communication skills.
Outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
Able to multi-task and work under pressure.
The ability to work well in a team environment.
Able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be professional and possess excellent presentation, organization, and effective time management skills.
Must have very strong knowledge of the restaurants, bars, nightclubs, theatres and attractions in Jakarta.
Flexible schedules and working hours; willingness to work weekends & holidays required.
Knowledge of computers and systems, preferably Springer Miller Systems and Infogenesis.
Successful problem solving skills.
Excellent overall proactive communication skills.
Outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
