Associate Account Specialist - DC - Change.org - Washington, DC

Change.org is the world’s largest empowerment platform, used by more than 85 million people around the world to win incredible and inspiring victories on the issues they care about.

We’re an innovative business – a certified “B Corp” combining the structure of a business with a powerful sense of mission that drives our work. Over 25 million users have signed winning petitions, including strengthening hate crimes legislation in South Africa; fighting corruption in Indonesia, Italy, and Brazil; ending the ban on gay Boy Scouts in the United States, and big wins for women’s rights in India. And we’re just getting started. Here’s a small snapshot of what was changed last year: www.change.org/2014

We love serving our incredible users, and we love our staff too. We show it with very competitive salaries, five weeks of vacation, robust maternity and parental leave, an amazing culture, free language training (if you want it), and a high impact, low-ego team that can’t wait to learn from you and teach you what they know.

The Client Services Operations team is looking for an Associate Account Specialist to be part of our high-impact, fun-loving and collaborative team. You’ll be responsible for delivering world-class sponsored campaigns that connect clients with thousands of new supporters across the globe. You will expertly implement, maintain, and optimize campaigns, while overseeing the entire technical aspect of a campaign. This position also requires daily interaction with Client Managers to ensure consistent and smooth account operations.

Here’s what you’ll do as part of our team:

Have a hands-on role in petition, sponsorship, and brand ad creation, along with multivariate testing and results analysis.

Manage technology needed to track and optimize client sponsored campaign performance.

Work with Client Managers, product development and data science to identify bugs, analyze trends, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Develop a deep understanding of the Change.org platform, advertising systems and operations, and the ins and outs of high performing sponsored campaigns.

Put your creative brain to work devising new and exciting ways to effectively address the needs of both the Client Services team and Change.org clients.

Collaborate with a wide array of Change.org staff -– from sellers to grassroots campaigners to software engineers -– and exceed each client’s expectations.

Be confident to work independently, often across time zones.

And here are the skills & experience we hope you have:

2 or more years of work experience under your belt.

A keen interest in changing the world for the better – and a nagging curiosity about how to use the Internet to make that change happen.

A passion for solving problems, working out logistics, enhancing products, and making data-based decisions.

Meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Previous ad operations experience including forecasting, inventory management, monetization, trafficking, and use of an ad serving system, such as DFP or OpenX.

Marketing or nonprofit experience and a demonstrated interest in social change (preferred but not required).

Interest in learning the latest and greatest in online advertising systems and operations.

Desire to work in an agile, fast-paced work environment with frequent course adjustments / pivots, while leveraging your ad operations experience to drive social change.
