consists of 11 business units that operate on an integrated global basis. The group sources, trades, processes and distributes grains and oilseeds. The main bulk products handled are wheat, corn, oilseeds, barley and sorghum, as well as vegetable oils, meals and biofuels. Grain & Oilseed Supply Chain employs more than 20,000 people in 46 countries. It operates 245 interior silos, 28 import and export elevators, 62 crush plants, and 69,000 hectares of palm oil plantations in Indonesia. It also encompasses three vegetable oil refineries and numerous joint ventures. Grain & Oilseed Supply Chain has developed significant expertise in handling identity-preserved and differentiated products that sustain their distinctiveness in overseas markets. Because it charters more than 185 million metric tons of dry bulk tonnage, it has the logistical flexibility and opportunity to leverage efficiencies in the supply chain, working closely with Cargill Ocean Transportation to do so. Close cooperation with Cargill’s Trade & Structured Finance business unit and the company’s risk management teams adds a further range of financial and hedging products to the products and services offered.

Position Description:
Ensure compliance with Corporate Financial Minimums with special focus on: Financial US GAAP reporting, Balance Sheet reconciliation, position reporting and counterparty risk exposure for any of the Business Units (BU’s) that the Americas Marketing Group (AMG) Accounting Miami gives services to: AMG, APBU Inc, and Ocean Transportation Cargill Inc.

Position will have interaction with other areas from the BU such as; Trading, Trade Execution and Trade Administrations

as well as corporate functions (such as Legal, Tax), and the other BU offices in Latin America.

Principle Accountabilities:
Responsible for a P&L (profit and loss statement) by preparing and analyzing the end of month cash and futures contract market valuations, positions, provisions, extra invoices/credit notes.

Participate and provide support in the analysis of financials (P&L) and help to identify opportunities to improve accuracy and confidentially of the figures.

Prepare the valuations of derivatives (options, futures, etc.) and freight.

Responsible to reconcile and verify the accuracy of the Balance Sheet by preparing detailed support of contract valuations, provisions, costing, investments, debt, accounts receivables and payables, or any other entries made to various accounts.

Ensure accurate preparation of required reports/management information to be submitted to Corporate (such as FRP, Cartesis, Tax Package, ROGI, Budget, Government Surveys, ST Debt projections, etc)

Assist in daily activities such as position reporting, costing analysis, and inter-company reconciliations.

Work on value added activities and different projects using experience and knowledge acquired in the financial area.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance


• 2+ years of experience in an accounting role.


• Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office programs


• Familiarity with all accounting rules (GAAP) and finance skills.


• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to internal controls.


• Effective problem-solving skills


• Strong ability to understand different cultures, markets and competitive environments


• Excellent communication skills


• Strong analytical skills


• High attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional level fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish


• Working knowledge of Trading preferred (origination, derivatives, etc.)


• Basic understanding of Trading Business execution preferred (forwarding, freight, documentation, etc.)
