Recruiting Sourcer - SF - Change.org - San Francisco, CA

Change.org is the world’s largest technology platform for social change. Our goal is to empower people everywhere to start campaigns around the issues they care about, mobilize others, and work with decision makers to drive solutions.

We’re also an innovative business – a “social enterprise” and a certified B Corporation, with a business model designed to support positive social impact (more about B Corps: www.bcorporation.net).

Over 100 million people have signed petitions, and our users win nearly one victory per hour, including strengthening hate crime legislation in South Africa; fighting corruption in Indonesia, Italy, and Brazil; ending the ban on gay Boy Scouts in the United States, and big wins for women’s rights in India. And we’re just getting started. Here’s a small snapshot of why some of the 100 million people have signed Change.org petitions: youtu.be/UcT1rgZDko4

We love serving our incredible users, and we love our staff too. We’re a high impact, low-ego team that can’t wait to learn from you and teach you what they know.

This kind of impact is possible due to the spectacularly talented and passionate ‘change agents’ working to make Change.org what it is. Are you ready for a rewarding job that makes you proud to go to work each day? If so, read on… we may have the perfect role for you…

We’re looking for a technical sourcer to help us find and bring the best and brightest to Change.org. You’ll use tools, data and creativity to create targeted recruiting strategies and build a strong network of experienced professionals. Partnering with recruiters and managers you will research and identify passive engineering, product and creative talent. You’ll be an internal and external representative of our values and culture.

You’re naturally comfortable in an “all hands on deck” environment, you love solving people problems, and you thrive in a very mission-driven and fast-paced environment and culture. This role is all about bringing on the smartest and mission-driven individuals, maintaining our culture as we grow, and running a smooth and efficient process to keep it moving.

You’re also focused on building great rapport with the candidate, maximizing their understanding of Change.org, minimizing any candidate confusion, and smoothing things out for them as much as humanly possible so it’s clean, clear, and calm as you usher them forward in the process.

Here’s what you’ll do as part of our team:

Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs.

Identify and engage candidates that are a great fit for Change.org.

Use our data and tools to continuously improve our overall effectiveness.

Strategically plan and execute pipeline for hard to fill roles.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with top talent in the industry.

Create robust pipelines while making sure each candidate feels like they’re truly valued (because, of course, they are).

Be knowledgeable about our business and able to explain benefits-related questions (i.e. benefits, comp, etc).

Represent Change.org through attending networking events, meet-ups, etc.

Manage relationships across all early stage candidates for multiple ongoing searches.

Share your passion for what we’re doing. That means intimate knowledge about what’s happening around the world here at Change.org – and what’s happening in the world outside of Change.org as well.

Happily build pipelines from scratch. Then do it again. How many candidates does it take to find the diamond in the rough?

And here are the skills & experience we hope you have:

Ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships with candidates.

Ability to rigorously prioritize and multitask as well as excitement to roll up your sleeves and contribute to the recruiting process.

Team-oriented independence. (What? Yes, you’re going to work closely with the team, yet be self-driven.)

You have superior organizational skills, integrity, and great follow through on tasks.

You are self aware, a clear communicator, and you have empathy towards the people you work with, both internally and externally.

You’re innovative, creative, and constantly looking for ways to find top talent.

You’re obsessive about candidate experience; you are respectful of the candidate and the stressful process a job search can be for them.

You take fun seriously. It’s a core value at Change.org, among others. Check out the other core values here: change.org/careers.

A utility player. You’re willing to help out wherever needed.

You are technically savvy.

The is a contract opportunity, with possibility for conversion to full-time employee.

The position is based in San Francisco.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, physical disability, or length of time spent unemployed. We are working for a world where no one is powerless, and where creating change is a part of everyday life. We’re just getting started, and we hope you’ll join us.
