CONSULTANT FOR COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

We are constantly growing and expanding into areas new and old. With each step, we need more and more hands. We are currently looking to fill the following position to be based in Jakarta:


CONSULTANT FOR COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR


Objectives of Consultancy

Supports the implementation of internal and external communications activities of CI Indonesia and/or programs that can strengthen CI Indonesia’s partnership with stakeholders and support CI Indonesia’s program development.


Activities:

1. Communications materials development, including but not limited to report, newsletter, blog, fact sheet, profile, biography, etc., to support the implementation of internal/external communications;

2. Develop database management especially related to program’s key documentations, communication materials, etc;

3. Organize/participate in event/meeting/project management related to CI Indonesia and/or program;

4. Conduct field visit to identify the needs for communication and involve in communication activities at the field level.


Required Expertise, Experience and Knowledge:

The consultant is expected to have several expertise and experience below:

 Min. 4 years of relevant communications experience on public relations agency, and/or international development programs;

 Strong understanding of environmental issues, including forest and marine conservation;

 Strong relationship with CI Indonesia’s key stakeholders including Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF), Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF);

 Strong understanding of Indonesia media landscapes (including social media) and experience with media activation;

 Strong writing skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, for various communications materials including donor report, blog, newsletter, fact sheet, etc.;

 Experience with event/project management;

 Experience with database management (i.e. photos, video, and key documents);

 Experience working with non-profit sector;

 Ability to work under pressure and manage broad range of tasks including admin, ability to pay attention to details, and working effectively both as an individual and as a team;

 Familiarity and savvy with Ms. Office, Photography, Photoshop, and Corel Draw.


Duration of Consultancy:

• Announcement of Terms of Reference (TOR) for Consultancy 1 October 2015

• Deadline of application 11 October 2015

• Selection process of the consultant 12 – 16 October 2015

• Announcement of selected consultant 20 October 2015

• Administration process (negotiation and contract) 20 – 30 October 2015

• Consulting period 1 November 2015 – 30 April 2016
