Indonesia: Chief of party



Chemonics International seeks a chief of party for USAID’s anticipated Sustainable Higher Education Research Alliances program in Indonesia. The program will increase the capacity of faculty, staff, Ph.D. students, and post-doctoral researchers at selected public and private higher-education institutions in Indonesia to develop world-class research skills. It will also strengthen the institutional environment that enables and encourages university research in Indonesia. The chief of party will oversee program implementation, with a particular focus on Indonesian university partners. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.


Qualifications:


  • Seven years of experience managing development assistance programs, including a minimum of five years of experience managing programs in Asia and five years of experience managing USAID programs

  • Experience working with higher-education institutions and higher-education capacity development programs in developing countries, preferably in Indonesia

  • Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written, to fulfill the diverse technical and managerial requirements of the award

  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity

  • Fluent English required
