Indonesia: Chief of party
Chemonics seeks a chief of party for USAID’s anticipated health program in Indonesia. This program will support the Indonesian government’s efforts to improve citizens’ health via improved health systems and reduce maternal, newborn, and child morbidity and mortality by carrying out health systems strengthening interventions. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide overall project leadership via strategic planning, management, and technical oversight
- Act as the primary point of contact for the U.S. and Indonesian government, donors, private sector entities, and other key stakeholders
- Supervise project activities, including overseeing technical implementation and managing personnel and subcontractors
- Oversee preparation of work plans, progress reports, financial reports, and other documents
- Provide quality assurance on all project activities and deliverables
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in public health, social sciences, or other related fields required
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience implementing large, complex development projects with a wide geographic reach
- Strong leadership capabilities in managing international donor-supported activities, including strategic planning, management, supervision, and budgeting skills
- Experience working with senior government officials, partners, civil society organizations, and other key stakeholders in the health sector
- Demonstrated skills in building, mobilizing, and leading multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience implementing health systems strengthening or maternal and child health programs in Asia
- Familiarity with the political, social, and cultural context of working in Indonesia preferred
- Ability to oversee project compliance with all contractual and administrative requirements
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
