Aidenvironment is an independent value-driven consultancy. We advise, support and encourage our clients in realizing their ambitions towards sustainability in the most prominent commodity sectors. Known for our in-depth knowledge, reliable quality and good advisory skills, we are continuously asked to work on influential assignments by the front-runners in the private, public and non-profit sector. We have offices in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and in Bogor, Indonesia with a dedicated team of over 40 staff members and we work all over the southern hemisphere.


Our Asia office is specializing in social and environmental sustainability aspects of the palm oil supply chain. We do this work for the corporate and not-for-profit sector, as well as for financial institutions. We are at the forefront of the developments in the palm oil sector and we are therefore more and more demanded as advisors on both the policy and implementation level. As a result, we can offer opportunities for a career within our organization that are as challenging as they are rewarding. Our Asia office currently employs a diverse team of over twenty staff and we are currently looking for a Senior consultant palm oil sustainability.


The senior consultant works in a team that acquires and implements projects that contribute to policies and actions that make the palm oil industry accountable and sustainable. He/she will be based in Bogor, Indonesia.


We are looking for a senior consultant who will:
• Provide high quality strategic advisory services that strongly build upon Aidenvironment’s in-house knowledge
• Build and manage an excellent international client portfolio in the private, public and non-profit sector in the field of palm oil sustainability
• Monitor and analyse palm oil industry and policy trends, such as company acquisitions, mergers and listings, legislation and purchasing/investment policies and certification standards
• Coordinate and conduct in-depth case studies and/or regional studies to verify that plantation company groups comply with applicable sustainability policies and standards
• Contribute to project acquisition


What are we looking for in you?
We are looking for a spirited candidate with keen interest to transform the palm oil industry through research and advice. To qualify successfully as a candidate you have:


• A relevant academic degree at MSc level or higher
• At least 6-10 years of working experience that is relevant for this position. Experience in consultancy experience is a pre
• Affinity with organizations that strive to develop, implement and enforce the highest available sustainability performance standards
• Experience in field research, corporate analysis and/or GIS
• Past employment in the palm oil industry is a pre; experience in the industry and civil society is preferred
• Fluency in English; fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is a strong pre
