MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development and implementation of a comprehensive partnerships framework to enhance the country’s commitment to protect and promote children’s rights.


1.Mapping of partners for results: Identification of potential partners among government and non-government actors including private sector, civil society, academia, youth etc. who will support specific advocacy and programme goals.
•Assessment of existing collaboration and partnerships across the country against programme priorities and goals to determine the potential of a further engagement with regards to enhancing equity and child rights realization.


2.Partnerships framework: Development and implementation of a comprehensive partnerships framework to support the realization of children’s rights in Indonesia
•Development of a partnerships framework that outlines basic principles of engagement, criteria for the selection of partners, timelines and modi of engagement.


3.Partnerships at sub-national level: Work in close collaboration with the field offices in Makassar and Surabaya to support individual partnerships.
•Create capacity for coordination and documentation of partnerships and advocacy among academia at sub-national level.


4.Identify and engage with key influencers including celebrities who have the power to enhance the realization of children’s rights, to advocate for and support related policy reforms and improve child-related practices.
•Facilitate market research to assess the potential of engaging with influential individuals and celebrities on specific topics and for specific target audiences.
•Produce communication and advocacy material and organize events with influencers and celebrities to promote the realization of children’s rights.


5.Monitoring & Evaluation: Establishment of systems to regularly monitor and assess the effectiveness of UNICEF’s partnerships engagement.
•Where necessary and adequate undertake field visits to monitor programme implementation and participate in periodic programme reviews with government counterparts and other partners.


6.Knowledge Management: Documentation of results and lessons learned from partnerships engagement, public advocacy and programme implementation.
•Facilitate production of reports, web stories, photos and videos and other knowledge management and communication products on the roll-out and engagement of partners.
•Organize dissemination of knowledge management and communication products to specific audiences for documentation and advocacy purposes.


PROFILE OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
•Advanced university degree*) in International Relations, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Social Policy, Journalism, Communication, Public Relations, or other relevant disciplines.
•At least Five (5) years of relevant professional work experience
•Experience in the UN or other international development organization is an asset.
•Background in emergency programme work is an asset.
•Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (oral and written) is required


*) First level university degree may be considered if combined with a minimum of 8 years of professional work experience in the above field.
