GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Sites Manager works closely with the Director of Senior Programs and is responsible for coordination and management of Project Open Hand’s senior nutrition sites.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Experience working in Human Services, especially with seniors.
Sensitivity to the needs of low income, multicultural, and geriatric populations.
Ability to communicate and interact with clients, staff and volunteers in a culturally diverse environment.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced, often changing environment.
Valid California drivers license and excellent driving record as provided by the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruits, trains and manages all Site Coordinators at OOA sites.
Supervise Senior Site Coordinators (SSC) to assure effective implementation of Senior Lunch Program policies and procedures at the site level.
Supervises Senior Lunch Program Administrative Assistant to assure accurate reporting of donations and units of service.
Working with Director of Senior Programs, maintain cordial working relationships with host agencies.
Responsible for managing and training of all Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for all Site Coordinators. KPIs include participation, waste, turn-aways and scan percentage rates for all OOA sites.
Works in collaboration with agency Volunteer Services Department to ensure the senior volunteer program is following agency volunteer policies and procedures.
Assess the facility and services at each site to assure safety, sanitation, service quality, and client satisfaction.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Senior Lunch Program sites, including SSC placement and supervision, communication, problem-solving, and materials distribution.
Working with the Director of Senior Programs and Dietician to develop, schedule and conduct in-service training for food-handling staff and volunteers.
Respond appropriately to emergencies regarding facility problems, food delivery, site staffing, site equipment
Monitor food quality and sanitation practices at sites.
Participate in staff and OOA meetings as necessary.
Work with program Dieticians to complete monthly menu.
Responsible for ensuring that all data for participants in program are captured throughout the fiscal year.
Helps coordinate and facilitates site staff meetings and Senior Advisory Council meetings.
Responsible for submitting monthly units of service reports to government funder through government database and forwarding reports to the Finance Department for monthly billing.
Prepares summary of consumable supply orders for private contracts and submits to the Finance Department for billing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
