Here’s what you’ll do as part of our team:

Lead a core part of the US campaigns team, working with dozens of petition starters each week to develop their petition content to be distributed to millions of Change.org users.

Drive the weekly production of the U.S. content team, ensuring that the team meets quarterly and yearly key results and goals.

Serve as a core member of the U.S. campaigns leadership team, participating in weekly leadership meetings to set strategy and goals for the U.S. team and build the culture of the U.S. campaigns team. This role will also be responsible for reporting on metrics, and will be engaged in company-wide teams focused on growth and impact.

Reach out to petition starters, learn more about their experiences, help them craft petitions that will speak to a broad audience and their decision maker, and track your communications. This position will have specific weekly goals for moving content forward.

Work with members of the media team, email team, and scaled support team to coordinate support for petition starters.

Contribute ideas to working groups and strategy sessions on fostering increasing numbers of high quality organic campaigns started on Change.org.

Contribute to your team’s success measurements and lessons learned to ensure organization-wide skill building and best practices, and lead monthly learning calls to discuss and process the work this team is doing. And here are the skills & experience we hope you have:

4-6 years of professional experience storytelling, campaigning or community management, with some media experience helpful.

Exceptional writing skills and experience writing from different perspectives and points of view.

Excellent campaign judgment and knowing what makes a strong and widely appealing digital campaign.

Superb project management skills to track the work of your team on a day-to-day, week-to-week, and quarter-to-quarter basis.

A proven track record of setting manageable, ambitious goals for a team and driving and inspiring team members to reach them.

A deep commitment to our mission of empowering people everywhere to win campaigns on the critical issues of our times.

Experience working within diverse and marginalized communities.

An ability to pivot across a wide variety of thematic issues, and work with petition starters taking action on any broad, nationally-resonant issue.

Trust in numbers — knowing how to measure your success and how to set up your work so that it’s measurable.

Excellent communications skills (including being comfortable participating in conversations with other leaders in the company), and an ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.

A willingness to take risks, fail, and adapt.

Strong sense of fun, innovation, and give-and-take — our team is constantly pushing the envelope and each other to challenge assumptions, go all-in, and imagine the impossible.
