Executive Assistant & Team Coordinator job - Change.org - United States

Change.org is seeking an Executive Assistant and Team Coordinator to support our New York-based Chief People Officer.

The Executive Assistant is responsible supporting the Chief People Officer in building a world-class team and culture. As a member of the People & Talent team, you’ll be alongside highly talented people that both inspire and challenge you to grow in ways you hadn’t imagined. The chief people officer focuses on recruiting, on-boarding, global staff support, learning programs, organizational strategy, and building a values-driven culture of love, understanding, and fun. Here’s what you’ll do to support all of that as part of our team:

Provide personal support to keep the Chief People Officer focused on leading the team.

Manage the calendar of the Chief People Officer, and ensuring thorough preparation for meetings, travel, and other logistics.

Support recruiting for leadership roles the Chief People Officer is personally working on. This will include sourcing, outreach, scheduling, and candidate experience.

Provide decision support through research, synthesis of information, etc.

Prepare presentations for internal and external audiences. This will usually involve designing a highly compelling Google Presentation (for a leadership meeting or an external speech) from notes.

Help coordinate the HR and Recruiting teams, including agenda development, note-taking, budgets, training schedules, and events.

Prioritize workflows for the Chief People Officer, by planning out task completion. This is not required but would be a plus.

Manage written correspondence to/from the Chief People Officer, flagging urgent items, and responding on his behalf. This is not required but would be a plus. While experience is valuable, it is not required. Talented organizational gurus with the skills below who are looking for a new career and see a couple years in an EA role as a strong first step are welcome to apply. What matters to us most is:

Organization and project management. We are looking for a highly organized self-starter who is focused and attentive to detail while multitasking. The ideal candidate is a time and project manager extraordinaire, who is good at and loves managing multiple fast-moving pieces, helping keep things on time, and generally getting things done.

A high impact, tenacious focus on solutions. Change.org is an exceptionally fast-paced, agile, work environment. This role calls for a love for research, and an ability to systematically work through problems.

Excellent presentation skills, including basic design sense/skills and a knack for presenting complex information in a simple, straightforward, and visually compelling manner.

Interpersonal and communication skills, including an approachable, confident presence and the demonstrated ability to collaborate well with others. Our team is low-ego, positive, supportive, and allergic to drama.

Experience with taking fun seriously. We love our work and our team, and want people who are eager to add to our culture.

Tech savvy, with the ability to quickly adopt new information or organizational systems.

Excellent writing, specifically the ability to draft compelling everyday communications for both internal and external audiences.

Discretion, specifically the ability to be both diplomatic and discreet around sensitive executive work.
