Grants Manager
Chemonics International, a leading international development firm, seeks a Grants Manager for the anticipated USAID/Indonesia CEGAH project. This five year, $20-24 million project will focus on strengthening the judicial sector, government accountability institutions, universities and civil society organizations to prevent corruption. Please note, this position is contingent upon contract award.
The Grants Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management of all grants awarded by the CEGAH project and ensuring that they are in compliance with USAID regulations and Chemonics policies. In cooperation with USAID, the Grants Manager will establish eligibility of potential grantees and support the selection panel in the awarding of grants in a timely fashion. The Grants Manager will oversee the effective and timely implementation of the grants program, including but not limited to solicitation, award, monitoring and closeout of grants in close coordination with the Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, technical team, and the home office. They will troubleshoot problems as they arise and ensure that all grant activities and their results are properly reported in accordance with the grant agreements, the work plan and performance management plan.
The Grants Manager will ensure the highest levels of honesty, integrity, openness, and transparency in administering the grants processes and procedures. The Grants Manager will also ensure that a professional and sound relationship with the prospective grantees is fostered and maintained throughout the life of the project.
Qualifications:
*At least four years’ experience in design and administration, management and oversight of large grants program.
*Familiarity with USAID contract management and grants management policies and procedures.
*Past experience working with civil society and anti-corruption projects preferred.
*Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and versatility
*Proven experience training and managing staff.
*Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written.
*Bachelor‘s degree required.
*Fluency in English required
