The Proposal Services Specialist is responsible for creating customized sales proposal documents for Manulife Asset Management’s prospects and clients. The Proposal Services Specialist works alongside Manulife Asset Management professionals to respond to inbound Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), Surveys and other proposal services support requests. The incumbent will report to the Supervisor of the US Proposal Services team.


Responsibilities include:
Drive sales & revenue growth through the completion of RFPs


Answer, edit, and complete sales proposals, client reports and ad hoc questionnaires with accuracy and by deadline


Collaborate with the sales team and subject matter experts (SMEs) to determine strategic approach for proposals


Coordinate all aspects of sales proposal document production process to assure the overall quality meets firm standards


Research appropriate responses through supplied databases as well as any other identified sources


Interact with Compliance and Legal Counsel to review and obtain approvals on all terms of reference relevant to an RFP


Act as a Manulife Asset Management resource for all associates involved in sales and marketing activities globally


Assist with ad hoc team projects


Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with liberal arts, business, or communications focus


2 to 4 years of related working experience in the financial services industry is preferred


Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with ability to interact with various management levels and internal clients in a complex work environment, including internal clients at remote sites


Ability to manage multiple projects while producing quality work


Detail-oriented with excellent organization and project management skills


Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks to meet strict deadlines


A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision


Strong analytical skills and ability to spot inaccurate or inconsistent data


An entrepreneurial spirit along with a strong sense of ownership


Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast paced environment


Ability to work both independently and within a team as required


PC proficient, particularly in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
