Cargill Grain and Oilseed Supply Chain (GOSC) consists of 11 businesses that operate on an integrated global basis. We source, trade, process and distribute grain and oilseeds. The main bulk products handled are wheat, corn, oilseeds, barley and sorghum, as well as vegetable oils, meals and biofuels. Cargill Grain and Oilseed Supply Chain operates 245 interior silos, 28 import/export elevators, 62 crush plants and palm oil plantations in Indonesia. Cargill Grain and Oilseed Supply Chain has developed significant expertise in handling identity-preserved and differentiated products that sustain their distinctiveness in overseas markets. Close cooperation with our Trade and Structured Finance business unit, and the company’s risk management teams adds a further range of financial and hedging products to the products and services offered. The EHS Coordinator will support the location in managing efforts required to comply with EHS regulatory requirements and Corporate EHS expectations. This position is a key member of the Site Leadership team reporting directly to the Facility Superintendent. Principal Accountabilities: 40% Manage environment, health and safety related plans, programs and procedures at the location to achieve excellence in performance and cost efficiency: Conduct plant inspections and on the job coaching with operations team members.Plan development, improvement and implementation.Training program development, improvement and implementation. Includes new hire safety training as well as annual refresher training for all employees.Overall responsibility for preparing and presenting plant information in Corporate, OSHA, MDNR, EPA or other EHS audits.Contractor safety program including the qualification process, orientation, and safety compliance.Performance measurement, tracking and reporting to BU and Corporate level. Utilize metrics to determine EHS priorities for the location.Be an active member of site EHS committees. Provide guidance and leadership to the committees to achieve site engagement in committee-sponsored activities and to achieve site and corporate EHS goals.25% Management of multiple EHS databases and other reporting and tracking software to maximize use and value to location and Business Unit: Ensure proper data is entered from site observations, inspections, and incident reportsAction items assigned and completion tracked. Overall responsibility for compliance with all assigned tasksTraining of new usersPerformance tracking and reporting20% EHS record keeping and reporting: Manage all EHS related record keeping and reporting with ultimate responsibility for compliancewith all operating permitsProvide guidance and oversight to plant operations team to ensure required activities are completed on time for compliance with all regulatory and corporate requirements15% EHS regulatory analysis and compliance management: Tracking, with ultimate responsibility for leading implementation of new regulations at local levelSupport delivery of usable guidance and compliance plans to location on existing and new regulationsSupport and confirm implementation of compliance plans at locations Required: 3 plus yearsâ?? experience in operations/production environment with a focus on EHS responsibilitiesDemonstrated effective written/verbal communications with internal and external contacts; strong leadership skills in interacting and influencing individualsPrevious experience working with EPA, State, City and other environmental agencies with regard to permits, compliance, and reporting requirementsProven ability to lead change and influence safety culturePrevious training and experience in compliance to OSHA general industry and construction standardsProficient computer skills, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in EHS or related fieldPrevious supervisory experience in operations/production environmentPrevious experience with developing and delivering EHS related trainingPrevious experience working with project management and outside contractorsIND123 |
